This is my first time ever writing a review. I have been living in Toronto for 3 years and finally found a family doctor actually accepting patients. Coming from a small town, I'm used to friendly people especially in a doctors office. Anyway, Dr Poonam is nice, but the reception team is really rude and i don't want to have to deal with that every time i call to make an appointment. I chose this doctor because she has one day a week where she works until 6:00 pm. its very hard for me to get in during the day, so this was great. That being said, it takes months to get in because this day is always booked up. And apparently if you do not have a deathly disease than, your issue is not significant enough to get in on an after hours day. Anyhow, im currently on the search again for a doctor.
Update: Today, I tried to give this Family Dr another chance (a week later from the above review). The receptionist Fadra was extremely rude and vulgar with me over the phone, she yelled at me and spoke to me in a belittling tone. I wouldn't advise anyone to go to the clinic. The staff here are intolerable. Save your time and look elsewhere. If I could rate this below 1 star, I truly would based on the reception staff alone. Trying to make an appointment to see your family Dr should not cause stress to you and should definitely not feel make you feel like you are inconveniencing. Fadra is rude rude rude and should be fired in my opinion. If my staff spoke like that to our customers on the phone, they would no longer be working for me. She does not know the urgency of me wanting to book an appointment or if im stressed about health issues. The Dr's office is the one place you would expect to receive compassion and sincerity. Not this place! read more
