Could not say enough good things about this place!! The chipotle burrito and strawberry margaritas are the best (and something we order every time)!! Food always comes out seasoned, hot, and quick. It is also priced decently and I would recommend this place wayyyy over Acapulco in Charlotte. Service is also usually always really good. Trying to find good food in Charlotte is difficult. Based on Yelp reviews we decided to go here. I ordered Supreme Nachos and my wife ordered a chimichanga. The nachos come with chicken on one half and ground beef on the other, which sounded really good. There was a ton of meat but the flavor was very bland. I added the salsa that came with our chips and it didn't help much. The chimichanga was also bland and it was not crispy. Bland soggy food gets a low rating from me. Some of this could have been overlooked but the service was also slow. Our waiter never came back after taking our order. We had to ask a different waiter for the check after we were tired of waiting around. Then no one came to take our money, so we just paid cash and took it to the door person and left. We are both eating whole food, plant based so we looked for vegan restaurants. We found Don Tequilas in Charlotte MI on the way up north and stopped in for lunch. The menu had several vegetarian options that sounded good. We selected the lunch vegetarian quesadillas to split between us. Chips and salsa were served as an appetizer so we enjoyed them while our food was prepared. The quesadillas platter arrived at the table very quickly and it was served with beans, rice, lettuce, guacamole and a slice of tomato. The meal was nice and hot and it was large enough to split and be enough for us to both be full. Now for the best part, the quesadillas were DELICIOUS! This was one of the best meals I have had ever. The flavor was amazing and very filling. We will definitely be making the trip for this pleasure again. The staff were very nice and the building was really cool. read more

We ordered Don tequilas on Christmas Eve. I called in what I thought was a pretty decent sized carryout that truthfully I felt bad about on Christmas Eve but it was a weird holiday time for us and we just wanted to have a nice meal together. The person on the phone was so pleasant and at the end of my long ass order said "perfect, we'll have it ready for you when you get here" we picked it up and EVERYTHING was just as we ordered it and perfect. It was absolutely delicious. I think everyone at the table said this was the one of the best meals they''ve ever had. Highly recommend this place to anyone, and also thank you so much to everyone who worked that night despite it being a holiday. It was unexpected to have such a pleasant meal and we appreciate the work you all put in to it so very much. These guys delivered both times. Great service, prompt and friendly, the usual salsa and chips delivered right away (great salsa BTW!) and drinks right on time as well. Had a group of five both times, each with varied palates and all were able to find something that pleased them. Food was fresh, hot, tasty and of ample portion, guaranteeing no one left hungry! For me this will be a "go to"'when in Charlotte (MI) every time! Actually all of us were ok going back two nights in a row for dinner, which says a lot! I did question them on the Restaurant. Com complaint previously posted, and they do ONLY honor the printed certificates. While I understand the Restaurant. Com rules allow for both methods, I also understand that even in this day and age, there are still those who aren't comfortable with our computer/smart phone world, and am sure that is the issue here. Just regular deep fried tortillas the chicken or the beef did not have any taste. Salad don't cost much why not fill the big plate with some greens instead of having the plate look empty. I think this is easily one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. Service is generally always friendly and you're served with warm chips and fresh salsa as soon as you sit down. I'm partial and have only had the original margaritas on the rocks, but that's because they do it so well - a perfect balance of tequila and lime that's so refreshing. I've been there multiple times and have tried many dishes including quesadillas, the shrimp and spinach (which is amazing!) and also have even tried the molcajete which was great! They don't nickle and dime you if you want just one more tortilla or some more chips which is truly a rare find these days. Of course the ambiance fits in with the food. Brightly colored booths and tables that are handcrafted make it a fun atmosphere. Lots of parking outside, very roomie inside, and I'm glad they kept the general integrity of the building (old train station). I love coming back every time I'm in town! read more

We had been here a few times and like the food. A few weeks ago, on a Sunday, we went. My husband ordered the Charlotte special, or something like that. It came with the chicken burned. He sent it back and it came out the second time just as bad. He ate a couple bites of the salad and when the waiter came to check, he sent it away. They charged us for it. My husband asked the cashier and he called the manager. The manager asked to see the plate and said that my husband ate half. Then said "if you take a bite, you pay for it or take it home". My husband said he was a business man in Charlotte and would never treat him like that. They finally did take it off the bill. We went to this restaurant at 5 pm on April 10, 2018. We were seated in a few minutes in a booth. We were then quite simply 100% ignored. I mean completely. We weren't offered chips and salsa. We weren't offered water. Orders were not taken. We quite simply did NOT exist. After 17 minutes of this (yes...literally 17 minutes), we picked up our things and left and found a lovely downtown Charlotte coffee shop.
