This is a great Mexican food restaurant. I was bummed they did not have horchata on the menu. I did ask he went to check but said they were out so I'm hoping that means they do make it now and then. I ordered the chicken fajitas and was surprised the veggies included broccoli. Definitely not a bad thing at all just different than the normal fajitas I'm used to. I loved the Mexican food and the Ambience of the restaurant, Then they took out the beautiful Booths with the beautiful colors that just gave the restaurant a great atmosphere . Ok so I learned to live with that didn't like it but still went because I loved there food and the people that work there are amazing people. So had been sick and hadn't been there in a while and we went yesterday for dinner and I really got a shock. They have Robots as waiters it is so awkward and it made me feel so uncomfortable I don't think I will ever go back again.. Now Robots are going to start taking people's jobs. In our second most recent visit I had one of the best burritos I have encountered. The Fajita Burrito contains all the makings of beef and chicken fajitas. Fresh peppers and onions, red sauce, cheese and sour cream along with some fresh pico! I called it a burrito the size of a football! We also had queso blanco and fresh chips. Table salsa was bland but we added some hot sauce. My wife had fresh guacamole last time and this time an aka carte chicken enchilada. Very good. Definitely recommend this location. read more

Holy margarita!! This place is right by my house so we walked here because we needed a "girls" night and wanted margaritas! Well. We only needed ONE! We asked for a margarita and our server asked "large?" And us not knowing said, "absolutely!!" Oh boy. When he walked out with these things we thought he was joking!! Surely this wasn't a legit glass and was just a decor glass! Nope! These babies are the large margaritas!! Pretty much the equivalent of sticking your straw into a pitcher of margarita. And oh my are they STRONG. Needless to say we were feeling a little good while drinking these. Food was amazing too. I ordered the steak fajitas and the one person serving is basically a two person service there was SO MUCH food. The steak had a little kick to it which I enjoyed. We will definitely be back! So we sat at our table for about 15-20 minutes with no service, we had to flag down the bus boy to get a server. Served then brought the wrong drinks after they finally took our order. When the food came half the order was good, the fajitas! My gf food made her sick, they put a tomalley in enchilada sauce and her chicken was dry and tasted old. Me and My Wife have been eating here for years and it is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Until today. We took our Mother-in-Law and three children to eat dinner and they charged Me an 18% up charge for having more than five people.( Which was over $13 on top of our meal) I was unaware of the charge until I received the bill. When questioned about it the waitress said that it's on the menu.(I did not confirm that is was but I'm sure it's probably in there) So I spoke to the owner reminding him that we were a party of three adults and three children and he proceeded to say that it was a justified charge and that it is posted in the menu. I'm still unsure of what the "up charge" is for but I did get charged. I told the owner that Me and my family would not be dining at his restaurant anymore and his response was, " Ok." I guess we will have to find a new place to eat after all these years. I will make sure they are more appreciative of their customers and do not have any unjustified charges such as the 18% I was charged at Don Tequilas in Elyria Ohio. read more

This was the first time we've ordered from Don Tequila.(Door Dash) We will not be coming back. I ordered 2 Fried Lobster Chimichangas ($1 extra for each one). We got 2 soft Lobster enchiladas and they were horrible. No flavor at all. Asked for extra sauce, received none. Paid $4 extra for a tiny styrofoam thing of rice-complete rip off. I have traveled the Mexican border quite a bit and had a Grandma who was head of food service for one of the largest hospitals in El Paso. This food, while it has components associated with Mexican food, is not authentic. The enchiladas had great cheese and corn tortillas but really bland sauce and they put tomato slices and green peppers on it! The flavors were so bland and subdued it made me sad. They have quite a selection to choose from and there is a several combinations in the back of the menu which gives you a generous portion of food. They also have 1.99 Margaritas on Monday and boy they are not shy with the tequila! If you make a change on your order there are no substituting and you will get charged extra. Their chips and salsa is very plain Jane too like any other Mexican restaurant you go to. I've noticed that they have some new servers now and my rating is due to the overall service and food. The service was terrible. This guy never even introduced me his name nor anyone in my group so there was no greeting it was just straight to what do you want to drink? And have you decided on what you wanted to eat? I was asking him a question about the chicken and cheese quesadilla and how big is it? And he responded that's it's just chicken and cheese and it was one size. We went for the first time last night. They were quit busy so we're thought we found a good place. There were plenty of servers and we got very good service. I ordered steak and chicken fajitas and my girlfriend ordered nachos supreme. There was VERY little steak with my dish. The meat was very small pieces like they dumped it out of a bag. Not cut up at all. There was very little flavor to it at all. I had a house margarita which tasted like 7-up. For the nachos supreme, no cheese on it at all and no jalapeños at all. The food is amazing and the menu is experimental. Definitely one of the best places to go for Mexican food since I landed in Cleveland. Do yourself a favor and try the homemade Jalapeño hot sauce! The shrimp tacos, carnitas, carne asada, enchiladas, literally everything will fulfill your appetite. But can't end this review without mentioning our server, FREDDIE!!! I'm here visiting and we walked in and was seated immediately at a booth. The decor seems fine and place looked clean. Our main issue was our waiter. He seemed as if he was either new or was having a negative day. He came off short and a little pushy. He didn't introduce himself to us and had this attitude about him. The food was above average. I ordered the fish tacos and a margarita on the rocks with sugar. The large was $12.00 I believe which is a bit high in my opinion. I can get a margarita a little smaller in Philadelphia for half the price and it tastes the same. The three fish tacos were $9.99. Our bill was about $84.00. We only left a $5.00 tip because he was a very bad waiter and we had to ask another waiter for our check. He was busy playing around at the bar with other employees. I'm usually always a great tipper but I can't tip good if the service wasn't good. It would be doing him a disservice. My friends food was good as that's what they said. This is a local favorite for us. Food and drinks are really good, service is great and prices aren't bad. They have a small patio that you can sit on in the summer. I'm not a big fan of salsa, so I always get their queso for the chips, it's really good. They have great margaritas and pina coladas.
