This place used to be good, not only did the service suck but the dishes I got were all chipped and bogus. The food was mediocre for how expensive it was, probably to pay for the robot they have. I asked for water after my food came and i didn't get it until I got my check and was ready to leave. Will not be returning!

This is a great Mexican food restaurant. I was bummed they did not have horchata on the menu. I did ask he went to check but said they were out so I'm hoping that means they do make it now and then. I ordered the chicken fajitas and was surprised the veggies included broccoli. Definitely not a bad thing at all just different than the normal fajitas I'm used to. My friend got the super nachos and she loved them. We also ordered quest to share and it was great! Perfect amount of creamy!

In our second most recent visit I had one of the best burritos I have encountered. The Fajita Burrito contains all the makings of beef and chicken fajitas. Fresh peppers and onions, red sauce, cheese and sour cream along with some fresh pico! I called it a burrito the size of a football! We also had queso blanco and fresh chips. Table salsa was bland but we added some hot sauce. My wife had fresh guacamole last time and this time an aka carte chicken enchilada. Very good. Definitely recommend this location.

Holy margarita!! This place is right by my house so we walked here because we needed a "girls" night and wanted margaritas! Well. We only needed ONE! We asked for a margarita and our server asked "large?" And us not knowing said, "absolutely!!" Oh boy. When he walked out with these things we thought he was joking!! Surely this wasn't a legit glass and was just a decor glass! Nope! These babies are the large margaritas!! Pretty much the equivalent of sticking your straw into a pitcher of margarita. And oh my are they STRONG. Needless to say we were feeling a little good while drinking these. Food was amazing too. I ordered the steak fajitas and the one person serving is basically a two person service there was SO MUCH food. The steak had a little kick to it which I enjoyed. We will definitely be back! Probably won't order the "large" margarita but will definitely be getting some again.

OMG! From out of town for the weekend and we love Mexican food. Took a chance and this place is great! Food super hot and great taste! Even being from Michigan, the Ohio Burrito is outstanding! The Pollo San Jose chicken is wife's new fav! Get the green homemade hot sauce, you'll love it! I'm still here eating while writing it was soooo good!

Very mediocre and over seasoned food. Best thing was the chips and salsa. I'm from the west coast and use to great Mexican food.

Food is great however, the prices have increased drastically and now they have a 3% charge for using your debit or credit card.

Good Mexican food. However it is a lot like all the other Mexican places. We love the patio and margaritas! Good food for a fair price!

Kind of disappointing. The queso did not have a lot of flavor and the chicken fajitas were just okay.

The food was good. Atmosphere was good as well. Only bad part was that their salsa was horrible... just tomato paste.

We're a family of four and ordered totally different things -- and every single dish was exceptional. Our 6-year-old got a simple cheese quesadilla with rice. The quesadilla was perfectly fine... but the rice? She was in an actual trance. We've never seen her so focused and actually eating the food we ordered her. Parents of young grazers know that's basically a five-star review on its own. Our son ordered the ribeye and devoured it. He wasn't crazy about the rice and refried beans (he's picky about sides in general -- that says nothing about their flavor), but the steak itself was incredibly flavorful and gone in minutes. The grilled veggies on top weren't his thing either, so we brought them home and I'll be turning them into a stir fry later My husband ordered the enchiladas rancheros -- three enchiladas with three different sauces, served with rice and beans. Each sauce had its own distinct flavor profile, and all three were equally incredible. That's rare. I ordered the ahi tuna ceviche and I would drive the 2.5 hours from home just for that dish. Bright, fresh, perfectly balanced -- absolutely outstanding. Honestly not sure the leftovers are going to make it back to NY. On top of the food, the service was next level. Attentive, warm, efficient, and genuinely kind. You can tell when a place is well-managed, and this is one of them. Ambiance-wise, it was modern, clean, and comfortable. It wasn't overly busy when we were there, which made it even more enjoyable. TVs throughout, a really cool-looking bar area, and a booth that comfortably fit our family of four without feeling cramped. This is officially on our family's "must stop" list whenever we're anywhere near the area.

We typically go here with a larger group with kids as well. The service is always very quick and great! The salsa is superior here compared to other places around (my son tries to drink it, that's how much he likes it). The drinks are always perfection - the latest drink I got was the Watermelon Cucumber Margarita with Tajin rim 10/10. The food is always delicious and the portions are big! The vibe/ambiance is more modern than most Mexican restaurants but we like that. All in all - great place to go for lunch or dinner!

Eating in NEO exurbia - 1 of 2…read more Most people have imagery of Mexican restaurants in their heads before they go. It's going to be stucco on the outside, appear dimmed down on the inside, have nooks and crannies, and feature gaudy wall art. This Mexican restaurant - Fiesta Jalapeños - isn't much at all like that and that's part of the reason I like it. I went in with a good friend who lives one community over, where it's more of a corporate suburb. Fiesta Jalapeños is right over the county line to the west, where intermittent cornfields eventually begin to appear. It sits in a medium sized strip mall with some typical chain tenants and takes up a big spot on its end. I had a combination platter and my friend had several enchiladas. Their chips, which are good, keep coming and, for me, their salsa is just right. I liked all the items in my combination, but my friend who is native to this area was more critical of the food. This is my review, so it's going to reflect my point of view. The service was very amicable, the prices were right, and, with it being fairly crowded, they periodically checked in on us. I took note that they had lunch specials served within a window of time and which differ by each day of the week. I noticed that, on Thursdays, they had an enchilada-burrito or something similar, so I went back. The lunch price made for a good value. I really liked this filling dish and all its ingredients, which were robust in flavor. I added a soft drink to this and it was an excellent lunch. It goes without saying that they have a Taco Tuesday, so I also made a trip for that. So far, it's probably sounding like 4 stars, but I'll continue. Because it's in a strip mall that has a higher roof, they left the structure exposed and took the ceiling up higher. There are big windows all around. This is probably the airiest Mexican restaurant I've ever visited. To one side, there is a bar and a slightly different crowd (dudes and dudettes) will go in there to drink, take their meals at pub height, socialize, and/or watch televised sports. They have an outdoor terrace at their disposal, which is attached to the bar and visible from the parking lot. With all the main items dialed, their inviting interior takes Fiesta Jalapeños up to 5 stars. There are a few things to note. First and foremost, if a combination is featured with certain ingredients or it's Taco Tuesday, it will have those ingredients. If it isn't specific, it may default to ground beef. I would have difficulty eating Mexican food in its large "envelopes" that would be filled with ground beef, so you need to specify which filling you want. Second, they have a lot of imagery of Cantinflas. This is a Hispanic actor/comedian of yesteryear who went by one name, sort of like Charo. My childhood friend's Cuban father would laugh and say, "Ay, si, Cantinflas." I guess you had to be there. Lastly, with the change of a zip code and crossing the county line, you've moved into a very different area. This metro area spreads east-west along Lake Erie without too much southerly critical mass and, in the process, goes from the undulating topography of the top end of Appalachia in the east to fairly true to form Midwest, and cornfields, as you go to the west. I was told that some locals call this area North Ridgetucky, just like L.A.'s 909 suburb of Fontana is jokingly known as Fontucky. One doesn't need to take a poll to get an accurate feel for the political leanings of the patronage out this way and I probably would not want to break bread with them (nor they with me), let alone give them a "high 5," but I would to the restaurant and its crew. I recommend Fiesta Jalapeños highly. It should at least be a 4 for most folks, but, depending on what you order and prioritize in a Mexican restaurant, it could be a 5 for you as well.
