Ruined my Birthday dinner. Food was terrible. Waiter impatient. When I told Manager I would not be returning he said fine. Going to Taco Bell on my way home. read more

Best service (amalfi) good food and drinks love the service and enjoy everything here

Pretty typical Americanized Mexican fare, but solid. I got the carnitas, and they were yummy fat filled goodness. Huge margaritas available, although I was excited to see pacifico on tap. Yum! read more

It's alright Mexican cuisine. It's certainly not the best in the area. The salsa has almost no flavor but it's passable and free so I can't complain. Rice is alright. Refried beans could use some work. On this visit my fajitas didn't come out sizzling like they normally would, which means they probably sat on a window for a few minutes. read more

We always have a great experience here. Margaritas are delish. My favorites are the paradilla and the tacos pastor read more

Don Tequila Amherst - Mexican Near Me - Amherst, Ohio

The waitstaff here was great, courteous, and pleasant. Don Tequila is very clean. The reason for the three Star review is that the food is not real good. The salsa in particular, which should be the star of any Mexican restaurant, tasted like it was canned or bottled, definitely did not taste fresh. The guacamole was the only decent thing on the menu. My Chile Relleno was blackened and I had a hard time finding the green poblano pepper in the dish. read more

We had a long day at Cedar Point and came in 35 mins prior to closing. Service was fast of course but we were very pleased with the quality of food and how amazing everything tasted. We a mentioned how it was the best Mexican we've had. We eat Mexican a lot so this is definitely worth checking out. I had the deluxe quesadilla and it was great... very large and fulfilling. I would recommend. read more

My husband and I just left this restaurant after eating our dinner and we are PARCHED. Why? We did not receive a single refill our entire meal. I ate my entire meal without a single thing to drink, and my food was spicy. I had to suck out what little bit of water I got from my melting ice cubes. It was not busy at all. I'm a server, I know what busy is. I was actually surprised at how slow they were when we walked in. Now I see why. Terrible service will chase guests away. Our server walked by at least 4 times and didnt even glance in our direction. We definitely won't be returning, thanks to our server Yesenia. read more

We previously had a bad experience here a while back. Since Chipotle had a line all the way outside we decided to go across the street and give them another try. It was early afternoon and really not that busy. The service was okay with the server checking up on us about every 20 minutes. It took 15 minutes to get our food. We had no problems getting refills on the chips, salsa and drinks. The fajitas were good. This is the only place I found broccoli in the fajitas. We also had chicken nachos and a spinach quesadilla which were generously proportioned. This visit was definitely a lot better than our last one. It was an average Mexican restaurant experience with average menu prices. read more

Go with the chicken and shrimp fajitas. The home made guacamole is really good too. Made right in front of you. Best mexican food in the area. read more

Great food. Very nice staff and atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. I would recommend it any day.

I've been coming here for years and the food has been consistently good. Their queso is hands down the best queso I've ever had! The salsa is also great. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Quesadilla. read more

Had a party of 7. Service was great. food was awesome. Everyone enjoyed there meals. We will definitely go back.

Love this place, great drinks and food. Awesome workers ! Always feels like family when I come in

The worst experience ever. I found a use ketchup package in our chips. I told the waitress no apology No nothing. I marked the basket with a crayon. She end up bringing me the same basket. I'm pretty sure she just took out the ketchup package and returned my chips with the in basket. Seems like they recycle chips. How else can the ketchup get in the basket. Haven't been back since. I heard other story's but this is just what happened to me. Check please read more

Love coming here food is great always have Carlos wait on me he is a sweetheart . Nice and clean a++++++

I usually go to the Elyria location but I was meeting others, so we agreed on Amherst location. We went here on Monday. They weren't very busy but yet we were there forever. I asked for a highchair for my little guy, and they said ok but never brought the highchair back. I went to the front of the restaurant to look for the host or cashier to ask about the highchair but nobody was around! The other servers wouldn't even acknowledge me. I got the highchair myself & carried it back to my table, again nobody acknowledged me. It took quite awhile for our server to take our drink orders & bring us chips & salsa. The chips were stale. I was a little surprised because usually chips & salsa are one of the best parts of the Mexican restaurants. My server was nice & he got our orders all right, but we had to wait a long time for drink refills & even had to ask. The food itself wasn't very good. It wasn't horrible but just not very good. When I went to pay at the front of the restaurant, the cashier didn't greet me, he didn't ask how everything was, or anything! He honestly didn't say one word to me. He just had the attitude like I was bothering him & he didn't really care! I'll go to the Elyria location next time. Never again Amherst. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because my server was friendly & got the orders correct. It wasn't his fault the food wasn't very good. read more

The nastiest food! Taco Bell is better! Save your money! I just spent $22 on two meals and a kids meal. Number one when I went to pick up the food they didn't want to give any napkins nor any utensils. The fries in the kids meal had absolutely no seasoning at all and they didn't put any in the bag. The worst part was the burritos ! The chicken in the burritos was like cardboard! They Put one tomato slab on top ,I guess for you to cut up. For the price the food is not worth it. My husband and I had to throw it away! Total loss! Go somewhere else! read more

Food was ok , I've had better, the food was sorta bland and didn't have much taste. Salsa was ok. Our particular waiter wasn't very freindly and we didn't see much of him, he took our drink order then never returned, another waiter rushes over and says the first guy had to "go make quacamole"......oook. so the second guy took our drink order and delivered our drink along with two other people :/. Service was really slow over all. read more

Dear Mr Tequila, Please improve your margaritas. Seriously. What's Mexican food without them?? read more

Best Mexican restaurant I have been to which includes Nuevo Acapulco. However, I do get a little frustrated when I have a waiter who doesn't smile and seems too exhausted to be friendly. I understand that because of the neighborhood, tips may not be what they should BUT I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU IF YOU TAKE CARE OF ME!!! SMILE! WELCOME ME!! read more

One of the worst experiences ever. Food is not authentic or fresh at all. What we were served was soggy, mushy microwaved assembly line food. Red flags went up when our food came out after five minutes of ordering. Not to mention the sewer fly that kept landing on my food. The service was unfriendly to say the least. Half way through our meal we were ready to leave. After paying our bill the clerk told me he couldn't give me a receipt. It literally took three different people and a argument in front of other customers to finally get a receipt. I have gotten much better service and food at Taco Bell. I would highly not recommend this place. read more

I've been here at least 50 times. Place is always awesome. Freddie is great. The food is great. Burrito Durango is my go to and you can't go wrong with the fajitas as well. My wife loves the chicken soup and my parents go here at least 1x a week! read more

Love the food! Service was good and our waiter was attentive. The decor reminds me of a Mexican Chuck E Cheese but does not take away from the overall experience. read more

I've tried lots if different items on the menu and all have been served hot and delicious. Be aware from the time you order till the time your food arrives is about 5 minutes so if your looking to enjoy a pitcher of Texas Margaritas (the best) you might want to wait to put in your order in. The food and service is always consistently good. In my experience most mexican resturants are similar as far as the food but Don's in Amherst has the best employees who always make you feel comfortable. read more

Wonderful steak and seafood dishes. I love the Carne Asada and Lobster Bisque! Servers are very good, but don't speak fluent English. Atmosphere is cheerful and friendly. read more
