The salsas had no flavor!! That's not right the salsas are important. Steak also had no flavor. Never again.

Came in Sunday morning, and it wasn't busy. Place is nice. Rancheras playing. Server was nice, friendly to my daughter. Horchata and Strawberry milkshake were delicious. Cafe de Olla could be sweeter but it was fresh. Ordered chilaquiles with Carnitas and another with steak. Both were HUGE plates. salsa verde is spicy. (Like the lady said, but we didn't listen) lol apparently salsa roja is spicier but they were crispy and delicious. Rice and beans were tasty. Carnitas were bomb. Also ordered huevos con chorizo and they came with a side of chilaquiles? That was weird lol I ordered a side of pancakes and they were hot and fluffy. I had been craving pozole all day so decided to Uber eats some since I had a day full of catch up assignments to do. I excitedly watch my driver getting closer, imagining what toppings I'll put on there and hoping they put extra limes in my order. When it finally arrived it was the saddest plain bowl of pozole. No limes. No cabbage, cilantro onions. NADA! I call to see if they can make it right somehow and I can hear the rude ( owner, manager?) just basically tell the employee to till me to come pick it up( after I paid a delivery fee + tip? Great little Mexican restaurant with flavorful food, fun atmosphere and great service. Although it's a small place we were not the only ones there with a large party. Everything is on point. Everyone from my large table loved their food and drinks. Price is fair/average. Delicious food and happy servers. Been seeing this place a lot on social media and have wanted to come for a very long time. We finally made it here. The service was awesome. Very friendly. We obviously didn't look like we were from the neighborhood. We ordered the quesabirria, pozole soup carne en Su jugo. It was amazing. I wasn't even going to get the pozole but I decided to try it. Finally came today to try this restaurant! I love seeing the posts on Instagram and have been wanting to come for a long time! I had the two taco dinner. The al pastor tacos were delicious, rice and beans on point! I had the michelada as well with cucumber and shrimp! I ordered tacos to go for my parents and they loved the tacos as well! First off, the negative reviews here are completely mind boggling... I couldn't disagree more. This place is awesome. They have some of the best Mexican food I've had in Chicago and I've had a lot of different types of Mexican food at places all over the city. I'm talking good authentic Mexican food, not dulled down overpriced stuff you'd find in Lakeview or something. They also have lots of fun, elaborate drinks that are absolutely delicious! They have a fun, chill atmosphere and friendly service. This will definitely one of my go-to restaurants in the area. Fyi, this is a neighborhood where the language is predominantly Spanish. Came here to pick up my family at the airport. Since flight was delayed I decide to stop by in the Little Village and try some Mexican food. This one attract my attention because I've never seen 'carnes en su jugo' in the US. Place was quite and not busy. The patio seating was attractive for the nice weather. I was totally decided to order a dish of 'carne en su jugo', but after I looked at the menu, the 'torta ahogada' was the winner... After reading some reviews this was a safe choice. I also ordered a taco de canasta with chicharron prensado just to try. It was average, definitively not the best i've tried. The 'torta ahogada' was big, but the bread was not crunchy and the 'migajon' was left inside. The meat was juicy and the salsa was average. It needed a little kick to make it just like Guadalajara. It was good to try it. If you want to taste something different, this is a good option. If you have tasted and want something like the ones from Mexico, you'll be disappointed. By the way... I spend so much money in this place because I'm always craving their carne en su jugo! I get it like twice a month or something like that. I don't eat anywhere that often! It's so damn good. I ordered the Green Chilaquiles and the tacos de canasta (surtidos). One of the tacos was chicken and it was very good the Chilaquiles however were inedible because they were super hot as in hot pepper hot! But the egg and steak were good.
