However not so with Dr. Oktaei! She has been the only dentist to date who has proven time and time again - to perform various dental procedures on me using only local freezing with unbelievable pain free success. From dental cleanings. repairing a broken molar, needing to extract teeth, to fixing my numerous cavities - Dr. Oktaei has successfully performed all of these dental procedures on me using only local freezing - without me feeling any pain! Also every dental procedure provided lasting results without complications. For example, just recently I needed emergency dental surgery to have my upper wisdom teeth. extracted. I still recall how anxious I was fearing the worst since I was over 50 years old. Where having my wisdom teeth pulled at this stage presented certain risks and possible complications as I was told by oral surgeons at the Emergency Department. Being put under general anesthesia or using Nitrous Oxide gas also presented other risks. So I opted to have my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Oktaei using local freezing only. To this day I remain amazingly surprised at Dr. Oktaei's skill and ability to pull both of my wisdom teeth so quickly and efficiently using only local freezing. Before I knew it - both teeth were extracted without me feeling ANY PAIN through out the entire procedure. I also had no complications afterwards. Needless to say, over the past 5 years of being Dr. Oktaei's patient - I cannot but praise her enough! Her knowledge and skills to address and fix any dental problems I have presented has been resolved with ease. I researched over…read morethe Internet and went to Dr. Waldman's office, desite a 20 minute drive from my downtown hotel. I was very professionally and quickly taken care of by a dental assistant. It was Dr. Waldman's day off. However, I learned a lot about their practice, and I was very impressed. Over the 10 years I continue to be more impressed and I have never let another dentist look in my mouth since. So compared to most I've had at least 20 visits over the 10 years and never a bad experience. Quite the opposite. I have given dozens of referrals to friends and business associates. I call Dr. Waldman the World's Best Dentist, and she really is in my opinion. She is totally up to date in technology and procedures. The freezing is fast. The office is always on time and I am fast in and out. What is quite impressive is that she can do a crown in an one hour and 40 minutes using a camera computer and a 3-D printer machine in the other room. No temporary, no second visit. Of that one hour and 40 minutes I get to go shopping for 40 minutes. The quality and fit of the crowns has been perfect and they have never broken. Neither of that is true compared to the crowns that she has had to replace because they have broken. In the spring of 2014, I had veneers put on my 4 front teeth. I've had trouble over the years because of damage from a bike accident when I was 16 years old. Since then all I get are compliments compliment compliments. Recently I had my teeth whitened and I've had some updates to that whitening and they look fantastic. I so much love smiling in my pictures again! Also, I swear I get 25 smiles back per day from the opposite gender just walking around downtown Toronto. But I digress. I do get my teeth cleaned in Vancouver between visits to Toronto. My hygienist always comments that she has to triple check that veneers or crowns from Dr. Waldman are not real. She keeps saying how excellent the work is and she's never seen anything like it. The support staff at her office always look after me and I can email to make appointments. They do everything to accommodate my schedule. Now, I have some of the reviews about her style perhaps not being touchy-feely. I've had touchy-feely dentists and guess what -- they screwed up my teeth. Now Dr. Waldman has to fix them. But even more than that I had to laugh. I have a best friend who I call the World's Best Surgeon. Pretty much all other doctors I have name dropped to agree. Guess what? The online reviews of Dr. Waldman are almost identical to that surgeon. One of my common jokes is, who do you want at the controls of the plane if there's a problem -- experience or intelligence (i.e. Sully)? If you are on the operating table and there is a problem who you want as a doctor -- experience or intelligence? The the correct answer is of course both. You want the most intelligent and most experienced doctor or pilot. This is what you want in your dentist. That is Dr. Waldman -- experience, intelligent, talented, and always keeping up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology. And let me reemphasize talent because that's something that is on top of experience and intelligence. I don't you work with less than a millimetre and get it perfect. Oh, if you need a hug, get a dog.

As they should of been, since I was paying thousands of dollars in a matter of 3 months into her business. 2 years later I am finding out just how bad the quality of her work was. Dr. Waldman never adjusted the set of my dentures to sit properly on my jaw. I am now paying again, to have a new set made as well as being in excruciating pain because of the damage done to my jawbone. Most dentures last 5 years before needing repairs, mine are being completely replaced.

If you do end up using this dentist, please make sure to finalize your bill or he may call you back at a later date telling you that something was not paid for like an x-ray or consultation fee. Also, if you ever wonder why you always have a cavity when you go see him, well the reason is because you actually do not or you have what is known as "microcavities". Micro cavities are the early stages of decay and in some cases can be reversed at this stage without drilling holes in your tooth. Most professional dentist would not drill holes in cases of micro cavities, but this dentist will do anything it takes to ensure more money in his pocket. Please get a second opinion before getting anything done. Why take the risk when you can go for a dentist who actually cares for you? Many options and "Mr." Magder is not a risk you should take.

When I felt painful in my gum around that tooth 6mth later, I called the office and the receptionist was very nice to book me a consult on the same day. The assistant took the X-Ray free of charge. Dr Partnoy explained my X-ray thoroughly and confirmed my bone healed well. He advised me to get a crown instead of the permanent fillings, which was the same reason as what I expected. The team is absolutely professional and I would recommend here to anyone who needs to do a root canal.

I was referred to Endodontic Specialists by Dr. Robert Feeley of Downtown Dental Centre for a root canal. I simply can't recommend Dr. Glen Partnoy highly enough. He was very professional, straight and to the point. He explained the diagnosis thoroughly in terms I could understand and prepared me for the procedure. All in all it took less than an hour. Dr. Partnoy prescribed me pain meds but honestly I have felt no post-op discomfort of any kind. At then end of the day my insurer Manulife only designated eligible $934 out of $1355 for the root canal fee. They only pay the prevailing rate for a dentist to perform root canals as opposed to a specialist. For me I will be going to Endodontic Specialists everytime--it's worth it!
