As the sun was beating down, sitting outside as the time passed was not very pleasant as well. We went with peaches and peppers and panty peeler for our cocktails. One of my kid tried the mango passionfruit mocktail and loved it. For my dinner I had the Blackened rockfish. It was exceptional - the skin was crunchy and the kale and curry sauce was perfect with the fish. My son loved his shrimp dumplings and my other kid enjoyed her Mac and cheese. My husband liked his sockeye but the highlight for him was the grilled bok choy. Crispy, smoky and perfectly cooked. Dessert of pot de creme was well received as well. Unfortunately their service left an overall bad experience for us. Our server was always in a rush, if we did manage to catch her attention. She couldn't even be bothered to be stopped for the dessert order, it wasnt as much as a hurried attitude but more like IDGAF attitude. Also they dont do *any* substitutions AND charge a ktichen appreciation fee + CC surcharge

The house made pretzel was so good (best we've ever had) we ordered one to go. We split the Italian salad, which had a generous amount of meat and cheese with a pesto vinaigrette that was wonderful. The menu is very basic, much more like the food you'd see at a bar that just has a deep frier. The pizza is medicore. The fried chicken sandwich is bland. I spent 38.00 for halibut and chips, the shoestring frozen French fries were obviously right out of a bag, the halibut was fried in old oil. My friend ordered calamari, shrimp and steak, the Calamari was undercooked and greasy, She never received her shrimp and the baked potatoes was overdone.. not to mention we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The waitress was the only server in our area. I have worked in the restaurant industry and made it my career. This is unacceptable in a high end restaurant setting. The food was substandard, service lousy. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. Do Better.

Their menu is a little limited right now but they have a wonderful range of options and every single thing we ate was delicious. Halibut dip was delicious and a little spicy with plenty to share for the table of four. The curry was delicious and flavorful with perfectly fried fish and plantains that made the dish. Bison was well done and flavorful. Thai ribs were a surprise standout (we live in Alabama, who goes to Alaska to eat ribs, especially when there are good ones back home? Apparently we do). Tender and deliciously smothered with a Thai peanut sauce. The slaw was good and the Mac and cheese wholly unnecessary because of how good everything else was, but the Mac was decadent and incredible! The seafood stew was a standout. Huge amounts of crab in the stew and lots of flavor in the sauce. Huge portions of everything we had to skip desert. If you're in Homer, make sure to check it out!

We got in about that time 5:30 or 6 ish and the place was quite empty. Obviously with all the construction outside, not a very pleasant looking place...the restaurant was also a bit dated and like I mentioned quite empty. However ee were seated at good table with a view of the lands end and also could watch the skillful bartender. We had Coconut prawns for appetizer and the prawns were huge with a great sauce but the coconut coating could have been better. Our kids had the mocktails of Honey Blossom and kenai colada and loved them both. My spurrita margarita was great and my husbands captains compass was also a very well made cocktail. For dinner we ordered the Alaskan fish & chips, Kachemak burger and Halibut Iliamana. The Iliamana had a nice crab dip sauce and the fish was perfectly cooked. Rice was a perfect company to it but the asparagus should have been trimmed, and hence wasnt very edible. Fish and chips were expectedly good. For dessert we shared the turtle cake and devoured it. Very good! Service was good enough.
