Or not, whatever, congrats on your decisiveness, but that is definitely what I was thinking after bouncing from doctor to doctor for the past few years. I was worried that I might make the commitment and then regret it. I didn't understand how Dr. Cho could be that much better than other doctors. Oh my god that was stupid. Dr. Cho is SO much better than other doctors. She thinks, she asks great questions, she listens, she explains, she cares! Try to imagine a doctor who does all of that really well. Like, imagine just a really stand out ideal doctor, the doctor that you really hope you will meet if you go for One Medical group. Are you imagining? Good. That doctor you are imagining sucks compared to Dr. Cho. The difference is that Dr. Cho doesn't just care about her patients. She cares about her job. Deeply and to the point that it is obvious within minutes of meeting her (or I don't know, can someone fake that? I don't think so). So as a great doctor, with a team of great doctors around her, she probably has spent a lot of time, her life really, thinking about how to be the best doctor. Way more than you or I have spent. So she knows far more than we do about what a great doctor should do. That means that when you go to the office and see Dr. Cho there are so many things being done to make your visit go perfectly that you won't even notice or understand them all. You just have a great experience. Then, what, I guess you sit down and think about it and try to explain it on Yelp and realize that you are under-qualified to explain why the experience was so great but you really want other people to know. So... yeah, all of that. I guess its time for you to stop vacillating and make an appointment.

That said, her empathy and bedside manner are frustrating. And if you already struggle with overall health anxiety, then she isn't the doctor for you. I imagine she used to be warm and empathic but is just now perhaps a bit tired from her career, so it seems.

This practice is highly unethical. In short here are the things I experienced:…read more 1. Payment Fraud by way of lying to me about insurance they take and then charging me, claiming they don't take NYS Medicaid. I asked a number of times before making the first appointments to transition my care to this team. They ran my card number and said they take all my insurance and said there would be no copay. 2. Violated my HIPAA rights by sending my medical tests & personal medical data/info UNENCRYPTED and vulnerable to my personal email. I not only said "DO NOT SEND IT UNENCRYPTED", I flat out did not consent or give them any kind of permission in writing. No consent forms were ever signed to allow this blatant violation of HIPAA. 3. Patient abandonment. I had an appointment where the psychiatrist was supposed to refill a very important prescription that ran out. She didn't fill it and the office said they wouldn't fill it until I paid my co-pay (See 1. for why I won't do that) AND that they would no longer treat me. Legally and ethically a practice can not just hold a patient's life saving medicine hostage until the copay is met. They also charged the insurance they do take for that appointment while not actually filling the script, so they were partially paid. On top of that, they can't legally just toss me without helping me transition my care to another provider, which I asked for a number of times. They can send what they think I owe them to collections, but they can't hold prescriptions hostage. They said they'd fill it once I paid the copay. This is illegal.

The cool thing about her, besides her awesome bedside manner is that she knows her stuff and she's not afraid to give you holistic alternatives in place of popping a pill. In my eyes looking at medicine from all angels and giving people individual care makes a great doc and she is one! Wait did I mention that she is super dope?

Well, we all know there are no accidents, right? While the other physicians I came across with at various One Medical locations didn't do much for me, Dr Fox turned out to be the most caring and compassionate physician I have ever met. Not only does she seem to genuinely care and listen (those qualities are so rare today!), but also follows through every issue I might have. Also, she's never hesitant to discuss more than one issue during a visit if time allows and seems to follow a holistic approach. (Again, this is such a rarity today!) She's always within reach and answers to her emails in a timely maner. If she's away from the office, she's sure to refer me to one of the other physicians at the 14th Street location who also have been wonderful. I am so glad I found her and yes, I renewed my membership for the third year. (As for the office: it's convenient, modern and aesthetically pleasing, but most importantly the appointments ALWAYS start on time. The staff are courteous and very helpful.) Definitely recommend.
