If I could give this management company zero stars, I would.
Coming from a EX -former employee, Domus Management was one of the worst places I have ever worked. The co-op property I was assigned to already had ongoing issues, missing paperwork, compliance problems, and constant resident concerns. Despite putting in a lot of effort to stay on top of everything, it never felt like it was enough. No matter how much work I completed, there was always more criticism and pressure.
I was often left on my own with very little support from upper management. The workload was overwhelming, expectations were unrealistic, and employees were expected to figure things out without proper guidance or training. It felt like you were constantly being pushed until you completely burned out.
The pay is ridiculously low for the Bay Area considering the amount of responsibility placed on employees. Expecting people to manage properties, handle compliance, resident issues, vendors, inspections, and day-to-day operations while being paid in the $20s is unrealistic.
The work environment was extremely toxic, with heavy micromanagement and very little support. Instead of feeling valued, I often felt blamed for issues that were already there before I even arrived, and constantly under pressure no matter how hard I worked.
One of the most frustrating parts of my experience was working with upper management, including Chris Mason. In my experience, communication often felt dismissive and condescending, and concerns were not taken seriously. It created an environment where staff felt unheard and unsupported.
Overall, I would not recommend Domus Management as an employer. The level of stress, lack of support, and unrealistic expectations made it an extremely difficult place to work. read more
