They'd already caused me pain for months, so my dentist made a call to Dr. Kazemi's office, and they fit me in for an early-morning appointment the next day. And okay, I don't remember much of it -- I had all four taken out and was unconscious for a bit -- but I *do* remember that the staff was kind and helpful. We checked and our dental plan confirmed to be in-network and gave me a list of what the detailed price outlined should be for the procedure. The oral surgery was scheduled and we received an estimate in the mail which was completely different than what our insurance quoted max charges would be from the contract prices. In resume the estimate was over $1000 from the contracted prices with our insurance company. Our own insurance told us to discuss the huge differences in price as quoted; so on the day of the surgery I asked for an explanation and was told by the manager of the practice that since Marianna had maxed out out coverages for the year except for $81.00 then at that point they can charge whatever they want and not binded by the insurance contracted price, so basically they can treat us as if having no insurance.

I had a tooth abscess, my last molar failed, so no molars bottom left side of my mouth from injury. Dentist referred Dr Azghandi for implants, said "oh he's the best!". First appointment was to evaluate the pros/cons of removing the tooth, & if I decided yes we could remove it that day. Azghandi gave me a 1 minute explanation & said he'd let me decide.. meanwhile as I was considering the surgery, he was pacing back & forth and asking the dental assistant if I made my decision yet, clearly acting impatient with his prospective "patient". I decided to have my molar extracted and we started surgery right away. During surgery, I politely asked if that noise was him extracting the tooth, and he replied in a loud/condescending manor, "You don't need to know that!!".. I was a bit taken back by his rudeness & inability to communicate properly, surgery goes on, & he finally removes my tooth with lots of effort, my teeth have very long roots and prior tooth extractions were not fun (I've had all my wisdom teeth & the rear molars removed for braces, 8 teeth total pulled, then my rear molar cracked from a dentist filling and that rear left molar was removed, leaving my bottom left jaw with 1 last molar which he was removing that day.) He put a cadaver bone in to build up the bone line, had to do this twice because the first one was too small to fill the void. Next 2 days I had to take pain meds because they ran out that night, the third day/morning I called in the office to ask for a refill and I told them I just needed enough to get through the day because I was going to work in the field & was still in a lot of discomfort. They said I needed to come into the office & Azghandi wanted to see me, I told them it was not happening because I was on my way to a customer's house at 8:30am, & if he could just write a refill for a small amount to get me through the day, that is all I was looking for. They refused to do so and left me hanging in pain all day, I took 2 Tylenol extra strength and was STILL feeling an aching/throbbing in my jaw and was working in discomforting pain the whole day. Fast forward to the 1 month follow up visit, I confirmed the appointment about 3 times for 11:30am, I arrived at 11:28am, and the office assistant said "Oh well the Dr. is about to go into surgery, we didn't think you were coming for your appointment", I said I confirmed my appointment with you multiple times, why would you make me take time off of work for this appointment just to go do surgery on someone else, complete disrespect to me & my time. She ended up getting Azghandi to stop prepping for his surgery and he saw me, literally took 1 minute for him to look in my mouth & say "everything looks fine, see you in a few more months." So I go to check out and ask about the next appointment, and she tells me that my 1 implant could get scheduled in May, and I said No, it's 2 implants that I need, not one (I had no molars bottom left jaw but 2 molars top left jaw), like WTF, what doctor would give you a half-assed solution? I told her to get the doc so I can talk to him, she hesitated, delayed a few minutes then got up and checked on the dr. and then came back and told me he was in surgery and couldn't see me, and that I needed to reschedule, and had the audacity to tell me and straight up lie to me that I was late to my appointment and that somehow I was to blame for their incompetence. I was furious, these people screwed me over and had no remorse and tried blaming me for their incompetence, what professional does that?? I had to walk away from this complete waste of time and absolute terrible business practice, looked at my phone and it was 11:47am as I walked down the long hallway. I've since contacted another periodontist who completed a full assessment & even found I needed a gum graft very soon for 1 tooth!

The receptionist did not even greet me. She told me to "hold on one second" and then told the doctor that I had my baby with me, which I understood could be an issue. I said that was okay and that I would come back when I had childcare. However, she insisted that I could still do a consultation. It felt like the only reason for this was so they could still collect a payment from me. I explained that the doctor already had my X-rays and records, and that I could simply reschedule, but the receptionist kept insisting. I spoke with the Doctor, and he barely gave me any information before telling me to wait in another room for an examination. At that point, I started to feel uncomfortable, so I walked out and told them to call me to reschedule. Then the patient coordinator told me I owed $56.78. I said that was fine, but I needed to go to the bank to get the money. Her attitude immediately became rude and nasty toward me. I went to the bank, got the money, and came back to pay without any issue. One major red flag was that no one could clearly explain the total cost of procedures. At every other dentist office I have been to, I have always been given straightforward pricing information. Here, they could never give me a clear answer about costs or fees. Overall, this place felt more focused on getting money than providing quality patient care.

I posted the above review to the Silver Spring office but wanted to give the good Dr a boost here too since people are complaining about well-documented side effects that sometimes happen when teeth are pulled. After reading about Dr. Sreeni, I knew he was the right doctor for my dental implant surgery. The office is very conveniently located in the Rockville Town Square area, and there was free patient parking right next to the elevator in the garage. The office was very clean and modern, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful fish tank upon my arrival. Upon arrival inside of the dental room, I noticed so much new and sophisticated technology. The front desk was very polite and informative, and I met with Dr. Sreeni for my consultation. He was so professional, and explained everything to me in a way that made the produce very easy to understand. I went in for my dental implant surgery yesterday for tooth #3 (molar) that is very important for chewing food. Upon arrival, Dr. Sreeni's staff checked me in and explained everything to me very clearly, I wasn't nervous at all. In my opinion, I've never received better care or surgery in my life than I did from Dr. Sreeni and his staff. The ENTIRE process was 100% PAIN FREE! I was scared because I went to a different office/dentist for the tooth extraction last month, and I went through a tremendous amount of pain. While in Dr. Sreeni's care, he did the entire implant from A to Z with absolutely no pain whatsoever during the procedure and after the procedure, I repeat PAIN FREE. I have a follow up appointment in two weeks to have my sutures removed, and look forward to thanking Dr. Sreeni and his staff again for the wonderful and pain free experience.
