Dzyak removed our son's 4 wisdom teeth in August 2017 and he and his staff did an outstanding job!

I called the office and was told I would have to fill out the same forms that we have filled out before they would even schedule an emergency appointment. This is a set of 4 documents that we had previously filled out with no changes. I asked the staff to have Dr Woodward call me. He did not. I sent a written complaint to Dr Woodward. He responded 2 weeks later defending his duplicate documents before appointment policy, accused me of being rude and said he refused to speak with me anymore as it was "his legal right". My mother in law speaks no English, I am the primary on the insurance and 100% support her. She is my dependant. We called another oral surgeon who was more concerned about my mother in laws health than paperwork and he got us right in called our dentist and had us fill out the paperwork at the appointment. We had used Dr Woodward exclusively for oral surgery so I guess we were used to poor treatment. It was refreshing to see a provider that cares. My family lives under constant despair due to the war and relatives fighting and dying. It was nice that the new oral surgeon showed compassion instead of insulting us and adding stress

I left a voicemail and was contacted next day to set my consult appointment. Had a my surgery a few weeks later which consisted of the removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth (which to this day was and shall dutifully remain the single most miserable experience of my life. No matter where you go it's going to suck...a lot) However I was apart of the lucky few that didn't clean throughly enough and got some food debris caught in my gum which promptly sealed up got infected and caused my face to swell up to the size of 2014 version Kanye West's unchecked ego. It started Friday evening. I became concerned by Tuesday morning (which is when I called to seek help). I was seen by Wednesday so we could get my gums sorted (I'll spare you the gross details but basically it was like popping a giant zit that had grown along my entire lower right gum line). And had a post op check up Friday. Today is Friday and after getting the stitches removed I'm pain free and feeling relatively normal. I am extremely thankful for the Germantown team for being so accommodating. I won't hesitate to go back (but hopefully I won't need to). A well deserved 5 stars.

I may be a bit late to this review. Hell, I don't know if Yelp was around in 2007? Either way,…read morelet's go back a few years. In the spring of 2007 my dentist in the Fredneck area recommended I have my remaining wisdom teeth removed and recommended Dr. Michael Will, who just so happen to have his office 3 miles from home. Bonus. I made my appointment and went for the consult. I don't remember this consult very much as having teeth pulled was pretty common for me. (Before I had braces I needed 10 [yes, ten] baby teeth pulled.) It was when I was lying in the chair and he finished discussing the teeth removal that my memory really kicks in. At the very end he asks me, "do you often wake up in the middle of the night and you're not breathing?" What?! Yes! How'd he know?? He goes on to tell me he has much more education than just oral surgery and goes into how looking in my nose he can tell I likely sleep poorly. Bingo. Nailed it on the head. Dr. Will could have told me about the procedure he'd like to do to improve my sleep, but he doesn't. That's the easy move and that's not him. To ensure my apnea is mechanical, versus neurological or some other version, he sends me to do a sleep study and and have more tests which take about 2-3 weeks. I don't mind this because one, I've never had surgery; it scares me and two, he's being thorough ensuring that his procedure will correct my problematic sleep. I eventually have the procedure and was thrilled. I remember laying down on the surgical table, then I have a vague memory of goofing off in a wheelchair, then I'm sitting on my neighbors couch and their kids are putting stickers all over my sweatshirt. Zero pain. None, only mild discomfort for about 4 days. On day 4 I go back to his office and Dr. Will proceeds to remove roughly 325 feet of gauze from my nostrils. (I may be exaggerating.) While it didn't hurt, it was certainly a VERY strange sensation having that much packed gauze pulled from your nose like a clown pulls scarfs from his sleeve. It's now 2019 and as he told me back in 2007, I may need the same surgery once again. I'm here leaving a note as I prep for the same surgery far away from Maryland. If I were still in the USA I'd 100% go back to Dr. Will for the work he performed.

I almost never write reviews, no matter if it's exceptional or terrible. But I created an account…read moreon Yelp so that I can hopefully dissuade at least one person to NOT go to this place. DO NOT GET A PROCEDURE DONE BY DR. CHU (at the Falls Church location). I had my wisdom teeth taken out by him and I had to stay 2 nights in the ER because I got sepsis (along with a $4500+ medical debt). My mouth would not stop bleeding for 48hrs after surgery, I do not think they sewed up my wounds correctly. Both sides of my cheeks were bruised up for weeks and the IV that Dr.Chu/his assistant injected also left a nasty bruise for weeks (for comparison, the IV from the ER nurses left a barely noticeable dot on both my arms). The cherry on top is that Dr. Chu never bothered to followup with me after my hospital trip. I'm certain that Dr. Chu knew that I was in the hospital because the infectious disease specialist told me he would followup with Dr. Chu. The front desk ladies were more thorough with their follow up for my pending balance than Dr. Chu ever was for MY LIFE. On Google review, someone else shared a similar experience in that they also almost had to go to the ER and that Dr. Chu was dismissive. So my experience was not an outlier. I do not think I would be here today to write this review if my girlfriend didn't take me to the hospital after she found me trembling in my sleep as my body was fighting off the infection from sepsis at 2AM. If you value your life, I highly recommend you get your oral surgeries at another location.

Dr Patel, started scaring me…read more They gave me all the nitrous they possibly could, and all of the injections that they could. But my blood pressure was still high, and I could still feel it. I am leaving in a panic attack. Shaking. Crying. I took all the nitrous I could. And all the injections to numb my mouth as possible. Having been traumatized as a child at the dentist. Dr Patel clearly started getting annoyed with me, frustrated bc "It's just pushing". I went in for a tooth extraction. Now I leave with the only other option was to pay $700 out of pocket TODAY so he could give me smthg to put me to sleep. I apologized so many times. I left crying feeling everyone there was so annoyed with me. And a rotten tooth still in my mouth. I literally cannot live So I just left.
