If you like your handbags with large sprinklings of kitsch garishness then you will love this shop! There are plenty of brightly coloured gleaming quilted PVC bags with gold fastenings. Some have a shimmering leopard print and are embellished with bows and lace. There are also some rather cute classic-style purses with snap fastenings and some slightly more reserved brown and cream bags in a more unassuming style. They also sell umbrellas and have a make-your-own charm bracelet thing where you can choose different letters and charms to add to a chain. Prices are probably about high street level or cheaper. 30 seconds walk away, the Bags & Baggage on the south side of the upper market hall sells a similar range of handbags but also sells luggage bags of a variety of sizes and some unisex shoulder bags. Together the two Bags & Baggage shops cater for a range of tastes and uses at a decent price.

They are quite tacky and all seemed to have a gold crown symbol on. Perhaps the proprietors are royalists? If you long for the designer handbag but like most of the population cannot justify spending hundreds then you will be able to find an equally sparkly, glitzy replacement here for a fraction of the price. If you can see beyond the handbags then there are some good deals on suitcases which are strangely expensive outside of market-world. There were a few sets decorated in different patterns in varying sizes. A decent sized one is about £25.

If you're going away for a weekend on a budget flight and you need a suitable sized hand-luggage holdall (which Ryanair define as 55cm by 40cm by 20cm and Easyjet define as whatever you can comfortably carry and will fit into overhead storage) to live out of for the next few days then look no further than Looks. I got one here for less than £10 which has lasted me over two years worth of back and forthing on planes. Look! If you're after some more heavy duty luggage then this is a great place to pick that up too with trolley bags of various sizes for under £20 - a snip compared to department store prices. And occasionally Look will even have some decent named brand bags from makes like Eastpak and Jansport for a fraction of their recommended pricing. Lucky you!

Silly me, since this shop sells a terrific range of bags, suitcases and many useful accesories for all your travel needs. Not only that, but their prices are very affordable unlike some high street stores which charge the earth for something so simple. Whilst Looks may not sell brands such as Samsonite, their products by observation and random handling feels durable enough for the average traveller. The staff appear friendly and they greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any help which I thought was considerate. I have no hesitation that this is a shop I shall consider purchasing from in the not so distant future. Thoroughly recommended.

Bags Etc is one of the many shops in Manchester Arndale, I called in here on a recent visit to the…read moreshopping center having noticed they were having quite a large sale, where items even those already half price had another 20% off, or you could claim a Buy One get one free offer also. It seemed more of a clearance store, there wasn't a huge selection and it was mainly all the same items, with few differences. I managed to find a rather nice bag for my laptop, which also could store a tablet and even act as a mini-suitcase or briefcase which was reduced from £160 to around £40, and I managed to get another suitcase with this which was the same price meaning I'd pay only £40 for my suitcase and laptop bag, which was a good saving considering the price they claimed it was already. Most of the staff here seemed nice across the three times I've been here, although the second time, where I actually made the purchase they could have been quicker and more helpful and it was the same staff member I spoke to the first and third times. One issue with this store is the product range and it would be better to have more of each product, but due to the nature of the store at the moment as a clearance, it can seem slightly busier and more cluttered in a way, and perhaps not as nice as some people would like it. They mainly sell their own brand bags such as "IT" and these carry a 10 year warranty to be redeemed at any of their stores which is cool, from Manchester Lowry to this one or even Crawley or Clacton to name a few of their locations. Overall, this shop is okay and they do have some decent items but the overall quantity of these decent items needs to be improved as well as the service from all staff members, rather than just one or two and based on what has been discussed I feel this store deserved a mid to high two star rating.

Sadly, he never falls for it. Clever Boy! But I always do it no matter what and it has become a healthy habit I think. Never deprive a girl of her handbags! So this little shop feels like something off Harry Potter inside. Like when Harry gets his first wand and the shop clerk is pulling things out of boxes on shelves. It is just like that. Magical yet cleaner. They are famous for their Radley bags and have some special collector ones in there. They stock Kipling and all sorts of other brands. They have everything you need for luggage or purses. What is special is that if you cannot afford the bag, they reserve it for you and you pay so much off a month. Fantastic for Christmas presents or just for yourself. GO and have a look at this wonderful shop!

It has now been taken over as they have retired. I ordered a suitcase , middle of April. i was told it would take a week, so i paid a deposit, and waited, and waited, and waited. every time i phoned the shop, was told it would be another week, and another, and another. I contacted Samsonite directly in mid July, and was told that the actual suitcase i had ordered had long been discontinued. i phoned Holloways and told him, and he said "yes, i have just found out they have not got any more". I went into the shop (by this time I had been in the shop a dozen times, trying to find out where it was), and picked a different case, which I was told was definitely in stock, and would be in within the week. That was 2 weeks ago. I asked for a refund in this time, and I have also been waiting for THAT for 2 1/2 weeks!!! Anyway, the suitcase still hasn't arrived, I am due to go on holiday in the next couple of weeks, and wanted this case especially for this particular holiday. The customer service at this shop SUCKS!! He has had my phone number all the time, and hasn't once called to tell me why I still haven't received the case. I have phoned him 3 times a day for the last 5 working days, and he won't even pick up the phone. not very good when you are running a business. I am done with this shop now. Don't buy anything from there, unless it is in stock in the shop...you will wait forever!!! I am sure John and Michael would be horrified to hear what is happening, especially when the shop has retained the good name of Holloways. I have had to get the credit card services involved now, to get my deposit (£200) back. Not happy at all.....
