The restaurant, which used to be Gus' Pizza, with the pizza prep area in the front window, was reconfigured and remodeled several years ago. We sat at the bar and boards on the wall noted drink specials, food specials, and mocktails. They also had about 10 draft beers available. We ordered some garlic cheese bread, and I had a red wine while we waited for our pepperoni sausage pizza. If seated at the bar, you can order there, otherwise there is a station where you can order and then head to a table to wait for your food or wait to grab carryout. They had two double deck ovens, and were busy, but our service was attentive. The dining area was full early on a Saturday night with families and sports teams. Our pizza, with house made crust, and hand seasoned sauce had delicious flavors with a sausage nugget carefully placed on each pepperoni slice. Despite the name, Roadhouse Pizza also features hoagies, sandwiches, burgers, and more. If I lived closer I would be a regular patron at Roadhouse for sure.

We overheard them telling folks (that came in right after us) that it'd be an hour for pizza. They didn't tell us anything like that - just sat us down and took our order. It did take a while. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry! Decor is fun to read while you wait - lots of gems on the wall there!

We had been camping nearby, & wanted pizza. Never expected much, when you blindly pick a place, but…read morethey will deliver. That's a plus!! It was delicious! I'm originally from the Milwaukee area. They do know how to make pizza there. Then you move out of Milwaukee, to a small city in the country. People tell you where the great restaurants are. I'm really not sure what they are comparing their choices to. So we ordered a pizza, from the place that everyone raved about in town by us. It smelled really good, started to eat it, I would have rather ate the cardboard box that it came in. The crust was disgusting! The sauce had no flavor, neither did the Italian sausage. That was the first & last place we tried pizza in this area. Back to "Thee Upper Crust Pizzeria", Pardeeville, WI. I cannot Bragg enough about their Pizza. It's the best I have ever tasted! The smell when you walked in made me want to try everything on the menu! Then the pizza! We like thin crust. It was Amazing! The sauce was the best I ever tasted! Just the right amount of spices and the flavor was incredible! Italian sausage, was perfect! They actually use the cheese from our small city. That is really good cheese. Just everything that we have tried there, has been amazing! I have to admit though, I cannot go there & not order their pizza! Anything else we have wanted to try, we take it to go. They package up everything very well. The service is very fast, waiters & waitresses are very polite. We have even had the owner stop by our table to make sure everything was great, & asked if there was anything that he could get for us. Very pleasant people. We actually go there quite often, the food is just that good. From our home, to "thee Upper Crust Pizzeria" takes us 1hour & 38 minutes. That is one way! So it's a drive, but so worth the trip! They do not let you give more than a 5 star rating here, which sucks! This place should have double the stars! And, now I want their pizza...

After almost an hour, I called back to see what the holdup was. At this time I was told they don't deliver (they previously did). I complained to the manager that the person should have told my son-in-law that they no longer deliver. Scvording to the manager they did. According to my son-in-law the phone cut out shortly on the call, & he asked what the person had said. He said he definitely wasn't told they don't deliver. So we waited over an hour to get our order. It was far from hot & it was exactly like you'd expect it to be after sitting in a warming area all that time after it was made. Not sure what happened, but I certainly believe my son-in-law should have at least been compensated for part of the order. Christianos-you did not put your customer first this time, by any means. Guess I'll start checking out other local pizza places. Definitely did not feel like my/our business was valued.

Unfortunately, by around 5:00, they were out of prime rib sandwiches, but we found some seats at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks and looked through the menu to decide on something else to eat. I decided on he "Held Back a Year" a single smashburger and selected cheddar, mustard, and pickles as my toppings. Mr. R went with one of the double smashburger options after asking how many ounces the patties were, and a side of tater tots. The burgers were really good, better than those offered at a couple of places we frequent. The mister regretted the double patty choice, as the patties were larger than expected, and he'd wished he'd gone with a single. Our server was friendly and checked up on us regularly. The Old School is, shockingly enough, housed in a former school built in the 1870s, with comfy bar stools and some cute school decor. We also received no complaints from the manager or customers, we were outside too! He was needlessly disrespectful and dismissive of us, and as an owner who very frequently has live music, that's something you need to develop an understanding for.
