Let me start by saying that we had ordered at the store many times. We always order the same pizza which included pepperoni on one side and chicken on the other. In the past this has been fine. Today I ordered the same pizza and when it arrived we noticed the normal amount of pepperoni, and a tiny amount of chicken. One of the slices on the chicken side had NO CHICKEN. I mean, come on, really? I called the store and got a nice kid on the phone who was pleasant and helpful;. He passed me to the manager who began telling me tales of how his store wastes too much chicken, and how it is more expensive for them than the other toppings. Not, "I am sorry that you were disappointed, why don't we give you a coupon or credit. " The kid went on and on about his bottom line and his store and his new rule about not wasting chicken. This kid missed the whole customer service skills training part of the manager biz completely. He finally offered to send a new pizza.... we had eaten, and we do not want one of those. I asked for a coupon or credit and he went back to whining about his chicken and his bottom line and how he now weighs the chickent etc. I told the young man I had managed retail before and how this was not the way to behave. There was a misunderstanding on my order and it was left outside with no door bell ring or knock. Because of this I wasn't able to tip. How embarrassing! I called to let them know I had planned a cash tip and could I somehow add it. They apologized and told me not to worry. However when I checked my email I got a free pizza code and a note asking me to let them try again! What a way to get a customer to come back. They seem to not care about two minute delivery when you pull up.They didn't seem to be aware of my order. I waited 12 minutes for them to come out and say will check on your order. I normally order pizza from Pappa John's for years now. I thought I would try something different. First the pizza tasted like cardboard and then I realized that they forgot the pineapple. I called and the manager said that I was wrong because he watched the cook make my pizza as I am looking at my pizza without the pineapple. I asked him if he wanted me to send him a picture. He then said AGAIN that I was wrong as he told the toppings to the cook. I then asked him if he was calling me a liar? Then he told me that I ordered my pizza wrong. I just want to say thank you to the manager working as of 7-10-17. I placed a wrong order by accident and then placed a correct order that I initially wanted. I told them I would keep my first order because it was my fault and not theirs. They said not to worry and they would give me a refund for my first order. When I got home my second order wasn't right. I called and they said not to worry. They made me another pizza and had it ready by the time I got there.
