I was in the area for something (a Yelp event maybe?), I needed dinner before driving back home, and I happened to walk by The Feve so I decided to stop in. I visited in June 2025 on a weekday evening, with fellow Yelper, Olga N. We were told that this restaurant in Oberlin has been open for 30 years which is amazing. It must be a staple in the community. FOOD - I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger with a side salad ($15.50) and I think my friend ordered the same burger. The burger tasted delicious. The burger was juicy and it was a very thick-cut of meat. The avocado wasn't too fresh and it looked like a paste. The bacon was crispy. The small side salad was good and typical of a regular salad, consisting of mixed greens, shaved carrots, and cucumbers. Tomatoes would have been a nice addition. I forgot what dressing the salad came with. PARKING - Street parking only. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. I asked for warm lemon water and it was brought right up. It wasn't a busy night especially since my friend and I arrived a bit later (around 7:45pm ish). FYI -- There are 2 sections of the establishment - Downstairs closes at 10pm - Upstairs closes at midnight but food ordering ends at 11pm The Feve is a popular restaurant amongst the Oberlin community, including students from nearby Oberlin college. While those living in Cleveland may not know about this restaurant, I'm glad that I ventured in. I ordered a very reasonably priced beer and settled in as I awaited my burger and fries. They have a very extensive pub style menu, so there are options sure to satisfy just about everyone in your party. I ordered their brisket burger with a side of fries. When it arrived, I was blown away by the size! This brisket burger was pretty sloppy, but delicious...only knock was that the bun did not hold up well to all the toppings: beef patty, onion spread, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ smoked brisket and a fried onion ring. It was however, cooked to a nice medium rare (just the way I like it). Also, the fresh cut fries were cooked just right and very crispy. Full to the gills, I made my way to the FLW house trying not to fall asleep from my heavenly food coma.

Other people came and went after I left. A selection of ice cream was on sale as well (I couldn't tell what the source of the ice cream was). The back of the shop is more of a convenience store, with a selection of snacks, beverages, and a few household items. The chocolate cream pastry, as well as some chocolate covered candy canes and an oreo, delivered the sort of simple pleasure one might expect.

The food was good; highly recommend the Blackened Walleye, which (with its succotash) was delicious and quite filling. The stuffed gnocchi might have been a little over the top (gnocchi not good enough on their own? gotta stuff 'em?) but it was also yummy. Of particular note: the restaurant both has a good selection of gluten-free dishes and is sensitive about gluten/cross-contamination concerns.
