The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. The pickle chips were a little on the salty side. The fish dinner entree was really good with well apportioned pieces of fish, fresh onion rings and cole slaw which was a little weird with the pineapple in them but still tasty. This particular one is located inside the red white and blue connivence has station in Shepherdsville Kentucky just off Preston Highway. My second horn daughter cheer gym is down the road from Thai gas station and chicken joint. So we stop here a lot for gas or a quick drink before or after practice. The other day she was hungry so we finally decided to try broaster chicken. I've seen it at many places before but never actually got it before. She decided to grab a chicken tenders which came with two rather large pieces. She ate one and gave the other have to me. Both of us liked the chicken. Very juicy. Like juices gushed when biting into it and a nice tasting crust. It was sitting in a heating tray so it wasn't the warmest. But it was pretty good. I'm sure they would of dripped fresh ones or we wasn't in a hurry. Overall, pretty good chicken. I'll have to keep them in mind for the future and maybe when near other gas stations that has this franchise inside of them.
