Then I ordered the soup and a side of grits, which were both delicious. My husband order the Beef cheek Po Boy - yummy! And my friend ordered the Cuban. The fries are tasty and everything tasted incredibly fresh and well prepared. Of course we saved room for dessert and shared the Banana Cream Pudding. It had a roasted marshmallow top and probably the beat Banana pudding I've had! For drinks, we got the Filly Lilly, A specialty Mint Julio with Thyme in it, and the winner was the Strawberry Rhubarb Buck. Wow! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We sat inside because it was a dreary first half of the day before the sun came out for the Derby! But, there were a lot of nice outdoor areas to sit and enjoy your food or beverages. You will find something you love at the Kitchen Table. I highly recommend!

Order: deviled egg with country ham marmalade with redeye aioli. The perfect bite. Just order it and you will be so happy. Creamy egg with the crunchy texture of the ham. Yum! Duck bomb with cane sugar gastrique. Great combo of sweet and salty. The sauce just brightens the entire dish. Cheese sampler was ok flavor. Toast points were deep fried and seasoned well. Brisket dinner. Just ok. Slightly dry, definitely needed a sauce on the side. The bean medley on the bottom was ok. I don't think i would order again. Honey glazed fried chicken was the star of the show. Perfectly crispy exterior with juicy meat on the inside. The best bite of the day for sure. The surprise of the day was the "french onion soup" inspired mac and cheese. Just a delicious play on a traditional mac and cheese.

Mayo had to be added from packets, but not that big of deal. The fries were awesome! Priced reasonably, cheaper than some fast food places. The other buildings and strip mall setups are blocking the view from the major areas of bardstown road and highway 44. Very much an American restaurant setup with tvs every where similar to other. Local places like roosters, bw3's or beef o Brady's. This unlike the others aren't A franchise and is a smaller solo location that has been here since 2013. They still have a good amount of TVs, a bar and a pretty diverse food menu. Tonight when visiting for the first time I was arriving with a large party. It was my entire family of 6 plus 3 other friends of our kids. We received really good and top notch service the entire time and they handled our party size very well. We started off with two apps. We got the cheese and queso and the mozzarella sticks. We all only got one stick a piece and it was pretty good. Nice and thick cheese. The queso was amazing. Not many chips came with it an a lot of queso came with it. Our waiter recognized our party size and brought us a second bowl of chips out. Not sure if that is the norm but it was very nice of him regardless as I've never received a second plate of chips when ordering chips and queso app off other places menus. For our entrees we sampled the menu pretty good. I personally got the bbq bacon quesadilla and it was very good. Nice bbq sauce taste and salsa was very good. Chicken had good flavor and was cooked nice. Not the largest meal but it was tasty. My wife got the Cajun shrimp pasta and said it was great. Her side salad she enjoyed too. My two youngest and one of the family friends ordered off the kids menu. Two of them got chicken tenders and my second youngest daughter got a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was phenomenal. One of the best if not the best kids menu cheeseburger I've ever had. Great flavor. The older kids got a catfish meal (family friend who said it was great), Buffalo shrimp (my oldest said was great) and the other family friend got honey bbq wings. I ate about 3 of the wings and they were great. Very saucey, crispy, large and with plenty of meat. Great sauce flavor too. Very messy but very good. The friend of my daughters who is a wing lover said they were great and she would want to come back to this place again. Overall everything we ate or sampled borders on either good or great. So very satisfied with our meal here and as stated we got great service. It was a Sunday nights in late April so there wasn't much of a crowd or any big sporting events on. However, I imagine during those type of events that This Is a cool place to watch them. As it has Good food and nice full service bar. Glad I found this place. Definition of a hidden gem. I've literally drove by the parking lot it is in a hundred times and never even seen the store front before. Pricing was good. Fot a party of 9 who got 8 entrees and 2 apps it was still under $100. So you can't complain about that at all. Ill absolutely come back. I'll make sure to come back in the future and maybe catch a football game or ufc fight here one night to experience that atmosphere.

They told me to call again a couple of hours before arriving, which I did. I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and they let me know our 7:00 p.m. request wouldn't work due to another large party, but they offered 7:15 or 7:30. I chose 7:15 and arrived around 7:18. My group didn't fully arrive until about 7:45, so I was worried our tables might not be held. They'd told me on the phone that they don't have tables bigger than eight, so we'd be seated at back-to-back tables. In the end, it worked out really well. Sixteen people showed up, and once everyone was there, I texted "here" as instructed. We were seated within five minutes, which was impressive given how late people were. We had two servers for the group, but everything ran smoothly. I ordered chicken tenders with fire tots and mac & cheese--all tasted fresh. The fire tots weren't as spicy as I expected, but still good. Their $5 margaritas are a steal--flavorful, though not heavy on the alcohol. I also tried my cousin's hot wings, which were spicy but had a unique flavor--less vinegary than standard buffalo wings, and I loved that. Overall, Bubba's 33 feels like an upscale Applebee's--inviting, accommodating, and just really good. I'd only ever gotten takeout before, but dining in was such a positive experience. The staff even brought out a free dessert for my aunt's birthday, which was a great touch. I'll definitely be back!

We didn't want fast food so one of the few options was Hometown Pizza. I knew the second that I walked in what kind of experience we were going to have because the place smelled like sour mop water. My instincts were telling me to turn around and leave but like I said it was late, we were hungry and just wanted to sit down and have a meal. There was only one server working and that meant waiting tables and cleaning up after people left. We ordered a salad and a medium pizza. The salads came out in a decent amount of time but we waited almost 40 minutes for the pizza. Waiting for a fresh hot pizza would have been fine but to wait 40 minutes for a cold pizza that tastes like cardboard was not ok. Not to mention the fact that she also brought out a practically frozen garlic butter for us to dip our cold pizza in. My Husband was going to say something immediately but I told him it was late, we already waited 40 minutes and I was not waiting another 40 for another pizza so we just ate the cold pizza. I just wonder how long the pizza sat back there before anyone decided to bring it to the table. If the server was busy waiting on other tables it only makes sense that someone else could step in and help. The person I blame is the one who made the pizza and just let it sit there getting cold. When we left my Husband spoke to the girl at the checkout and told her that the pizza was cold and that we waited 40 minutes for it. He thought that the least they could do is give us a discount. The "manager" if there really was one on duty would not even come out and speak to him. We were just told that because we ate the cold, cardboard tasting pizza that we were not getting any sort of discount. I should have looked at the horrible reviews on Yelp because I wouldn't have even pulled into the parking lot. Great way to do business! Lesson learned....if we are in the Mt Washington area again and need to stop for dinner it will definitely not be Hometown Pizza!
