Portales is changing, and the fact that AJ'S is now a new staple of the community reflects that. Their wings are crispy, juicy, and smothered in flavor. I told my wife I actually prefer them to chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings, because the chicken is just that good. Also, they have these monstrous mozzarella sticks that are probably the best in town. As someone who hasn't had reliable transportation for the majority of my time living here, it's great to finally have a viable hangout spot. Once they get their liquor license, I can definitely see myself going there as a regular customer.
