We got a Pepperoni slice, a Meatpacker slice, and a Buffalo Chicken slice. We also got Garlic Knots with meat sauce, and Buffalo wings. The whole place was very clean, and felt very safe as our first visit to a sit down restaurant since the lockdown has been lifted. Only thing we would say is that one of the slices we got, had been sitting in the display for a while and the cheese was cold , which was not as nice compared to the other two slices we got which were freshly made. Overall , great food, affordable prices , quick service, and clean environment ! We'll be back soon!

Maybe not exactly as good as some of the pizzas I have had in NY but definitely worth the £2.60 it cost. Could do with a bit more cheese. Also had a double pepperoni, which was freshly made and tasty. The base is a bit crispy and no flop on the end but again a good pizza all round. I was going to have the wings but they are baked rather than fried so a no go for me. I'll go back again. Decor is nice and staff are very friendly and the place was spotlessly clean which is always a good sign.

The best pizza place in the West End? It's a difficult choice to make but there's a good chance…read morethat it's Little Italy. I'm sure most people would at least put it in their top 3. It's not an enormous restaurant. A large bar/service area takes up a lot of space, as does the pizza oven at the back and as suck the seats are kind of arranged all the way around the edges. Somehow though, whenever I've wanted to sit in, they have managed to find a space for me. They do pizza and pasta mostly, with a few other Italian favourites. The coffee is really good and the cake is the ideal thing to bring as a surprise in a take away box to a friend who needs cheering up. Trust me, it never fails. The pizza comes as slices (really squares) or three other standard sizes, starting at 10 inch and is cheese and tomato by default. There isn't really a menu of standard toppings like, for example, mushroom and proscuitto, red pepper and goats cheese, Hawaiian, Four Seasons, etc. Rather, they just have all imaginable toppings and you tell them which ones you'd like. This way you pay for the toppings you want based on the size of pizza you order, and every pizza is, in that sense, personalised. Once you've placed your order you're given a buzzer (regardless of whether you're sitting in or taking out) and when it goes off you head over to that pizza oven and the chef will hand it to you with or without freshly ground black pepper, according to your preference. The pizza is always good too. Always. The base is great and the toppings are reliably fresh and delicious. Sadly, the days are gone when a snapfax and £4 could get you a pizza and a can of soda but their still very fairly priced for the quality you can expect.

Feel Italian for the Day…read more Italian staff, Italian coffee, Italian pizza, Italian radio, Costco pastries? :-) But let's get serious here. This vibrant little shop is the Italian espresso bar personified. The coffee is perfect for your morning cappuccino, the focaccia's perfect for a quick lunch and the pizza's perfect for your tea (or since we're in The West End should I say dinner?) Tiramisu? That's another story. It's not always on offer, but when it is - I'M THERE! Word of note though - just stay away from the sugar bowls. I've seen licked spoons go where they ought not to. Luckily I don't take the white stuff :-)

The Great Pizza Delivery Review! I've compared Papa John's to Domino's and Pizza Hut - see my other…read morereviews for the complete picture. Papa John's are the real Armani of the pizza delivery business - the most expensive, the best quality, but at the end of the day they are still just a fast food joint. A standard Hawaiian or Pepperoni pizza is £13.99 for a massive XL that's more than enough for two, or £11.99 for a medium size. This comes with a free garlic butter dip that's so addictive you'll order another pizza from Papa John's just for dip. The pizza is the least greasy and IMHO also the tastiest amongst the competition with the best base and freshest ingredients. The Edinburgh branch used to also give you free chilli peppers, though I've not seen these since I moved to Glasgow - either this is the result of the financial crisis or else they just don't think Glasgow is cultured enough to enjoy them! The online ordering service will send you a text message to tell you when your pizza is on its way if you give them your mobile number, though you'll be spammed in future with the occasional "Any Pizza for £9.99 on Monday-Wednesday" offers to tempt you back. Located in Broomhill it's not quite as central as the competition, so can take a bit longer to deliver, though that's usually made up by them being less busy.

Oh yeah, I could call in for some take-away. We usually order from Domino's but had heard some people rave about Papa John's lately so we thought we'd give it a try. I'd been seriously underwhelmed when I'd ordered from there a few years back but I thought enough time had passed that it was worth giving it another try. The bargain hunter in me was immediately happy when I discovered if you ordered a pizza costing more than £15 you got it half price. Since i was ordering a large pizza to share there was no problem hitting that mark. In the end I ordered a create your own pizza with peppers and piri piri chicken and a garlic cheese and bacon pizza bread. It was on £12.70 for both, yas! I was also able to pay by PayPal which meant I didn't even need to get off the couch to find my wallet..... Though the pizza came relatively quickly, it wasn't quite as hot as I would have liked but it was definitely still within acceptable ranges. There garlic cheese and bacon pizza bread was really great and came with pizza sauce and garlic dips. I really liked having the pizza sauce but was quickly reminded of one of the things I hadn't liked last time I'd ordered from Papa John's, the garlic sauce is rank. The pizza itself was OK, the toppings were tasty and about the right amount, but there was more cheese than I like. I can't even imagine what double cheese would be like...... The base was also thicker than I'd prefer but not unpleasant. Overall the food was decent but I don't think it would be my first choice of place to order from in the future.
