I figured I would head inside and purchase an item or two. I didn't go far into the store, but could tell that this is the typical Sheetz you come across now. Newer looking, aisles set up per usual. Coolers in the back. But I made a detour right to the counter and asked for my items. This is about the only place I have been recently where I was actually carded. I'm no longer young looking, so it surprised me. The employee told me he had to scan every ID when it came to purchases like these. I'm fine with that, but it would have been nice to know with signage so I could be better prepared for it instead of fumbling with my wallet and holding up the line. Before getting back into my vehicle I took a few minutes to just take in the morning outside. I was in no hurry to make it home and just took in the scenery, did a bit of people watching, then got back in my vehicle to continue towards home.
