I don't usually write reviews about businesses, but when I do, it's gonna be a scathing post. I'm the kind of customer who wants to receive only what he pays for and is insistent on paying for added requests, because I don't want anyone to be cheated from our transactions. I've got a bone to pick with Dominion Pizza staff--and particularly a diminutive Italian or Irish girl who regularly likes to cop an attitude in response to simple questions. I tried speaking to her, as well as other staff members, but their responses left me scratching my head. Now, the food is very good for the price, even though the wings are dry and under-sauced. The over-all value is acceptable, and my orders have not once been botched, except for the ranch dressing dips; which is the main reason for my selection of a 3-Star rating for this establishment. Up to about a year and a half ago, the ranch dip cups use to be free (aside from the free ones included with an order). When Dominion started charging for every single ranch cup requested, I thought it was messed up, but understood that inflation probably forced them to do so. I had no problem then, or now, paying the price, because I'm a fiend for Dominion ranch dressing. It's quite good. What I do have a problem with is paying full price for a half-filled container, and then getting either an indifferent or belligerent reply to my question of why it is not completely filled. It's a customer satisfaction issue. The blue cheese dips are always filled to the top, yet they cost the same as the ranch dips--$0.75. If you charged 10 cents or even gave away each half-filled container of ranch dip, a customer would still feel cheated. How else would one be expected to feel, handing over full payment for half an item? If you don't have a problem filling the blue cheese container to the top, why is it a problem with the ranch dips? If you need to charge $1.50 for the same-sized container with ranch dressing, then sell it to me for $1.50, but DON'T give me a half-filled container and then answer sarcastically when I ask where is the rest of the product for which I paid! Who was it who came up with the bright idea of delivering half-filled ranch dipping containers to a paying customer? Was it the little girl with a big attitude problem? Would any of you working there like to receive half-products and malicious interactions for your hard-earned money? Why don't you put yourself in the customer's shoes, upon whom--by the way--you depend to pay your bills? Don't you appreciate your paychecks enough to remember that there are plenty of other restaurants, and the customer doesn't need to put up with your BS? I'll be staying away from Dominion until I hear that they're delivering the products and service for which they're charging. I'm sure I'm not the only frustrated customer. In the meantime, I'll patronize Metro for all of my Italian food cravings. They always turn over exactly what I pay for, along with gratitude for my precious time & money. read more

Frequently ordered from here but this will be the final time we give them any type of business or recommendation. The subs were absolutely horrendous and ontop of that when I called back in to let them know the order was completely wrong to get it remade the woman who was taking orders had a disgusting attitude and blatantly hung up on us. Had to file a claim with my bank to get refunded for the subs that were made wrong. This place has clearly changed and has gone downhill in service and continues to decline. Dominion Pizza is our neighborhood pizza shop and it never disappoints. It's the best pizza we've had in Lancaster. The pepperoni, veggie and plain cheese are all tasty. The beer battered onion rings are great and so is the chicken parm. It's always busy so prepare to wait a bit at times. read more

This is a fantastic pizza place. Their prices are reasonable, the food is tasty, and the service is reasonably quick given how busy they are. I'm a big fan of their crust, which is chewy and crunchy, and the sauce is sweet. Their pizza has an optimal cheese to sauce to crust ratio. The sandwiches are delicious. Helping all this is that they have great hours (longer than listed on yelp on sat at least), and a fantastic beer selection. You can also save a few bucks by getting the coupouns out of the Lancaster coupon clipper magazine. Don't even bother calling them. Their customer service on the phone is horrible. First they put me on hold for over 7 minutes and cut me off. Then when I called back she put me on hold again without even checking why I was calling. Got their pizza last night and a chicken parm sub. I've liked the pizza in the past, always reminded me of Greek pizza in Boston. However the cheese was hard and very thick and the crust was burned and tasted like cardboard. There was far too much cheese on the ckn parm also. I was not impressed. read more

If you're a beer guy (or gal), this is Lancaster's best kept secret. Stetson does an outstanding job of finding and procuring some of the best beers possible - and best of all at super-reasonable prices. Their pizza is unique and very good, if not what I'd classify as traditional. (If you're truly craving a NY style pizza, you may still be left craving after theirs). But again it is good. Nice sweet crust, just not quite the usual. Subs are very good too. Love the buffalo chicken wrap. Good fries. Overall just a darn good pizza shop. Service is always great. I've been here a few times and have only had the pizza. While ok, it's far from great and I've had better many other places in town. Something's off with the crust, just a little too thick and cake-like and it reminds me of many frozen grocery store pizzas I've had. I wish I had some of my own photos to share, but the food looks nothing like the photos posted by the restaurant here. C'mon guys, at least post photos of your own food, not a stock photo bought from a website. I really like the pizza. It's some of the best in Lancaster. But in this moment, I'm approaching a 90-minute wait on a delivery that was estimated at 45 minutes. (My house is .2 miles away according to Yelp.) Called to check on it and was told it would be another 15-20 minutes. This is just unacceptable for a pizza delivery restaurant. First time ordering delivery and very disappointed. UPDATE: Pizza finally arrived almost two hours after placing the order. Driver completely flustered and apologetic. Pizza cold and terrible. the food is subpar at best... for example: - ordered a slice w/green pepper, onion, & bacon. the green pepper & onion was not cooked AT ALL much less cooked into the cheese. they literally just threw a bunch of raw onion & pepper on top of my pizza slice. wtf guys? - they use CANNED mushrooms for their pizza... fresh mushrooms aren't even that much more expensive ... gross. - nothing on their menu is anything to write home about. if the crappy food weren't enough, the place is constantly crawling with cops. i don't know about you, but me? i'm a law-abiding citizen and i still feel extremely uncomfortable when i am in a room full of strange men i've never met before who are carrying a number of potentially lethal weapons, and have been known to use those weapons in inappropriate ways. it certainly doesn't whet my appetite. i guess the owner is a retired cop. if you want much better food at equivalent prices with a much better atmosphere, go to antonio's. it's literally right around the corner, and their food is fantastic (you can find my review of them on here as well -- since i posted it i've tried their pizza, and it's fabulous). read more

Went to this place and placed an order for take out and decided waiting in the restaurant while they prepared it. To our surprise the guy comes out after ~25 minute and delivered a box that was cold as coming out of refrigerator. On tasting it was clear that it was not freshly made rather reheated pizza. Fun place! Pizza was good, beer selection was outstanding as were their prices. Atmosphere is typical, a few TV's w/ news & sports. Very spacious seating, always a plus not to feel like you're sitting right beside or on top of the table next to you. Live trivia on Thursday is a lot of fun! PERFECT! This is what Pizza is suppose to be. If you can't tell this is my favorite pizza joint and I have had dozens of pies from here both in the shop and delivered to the house. The restaurant is clean and roomy with a friendly staff behind the counter and a great menu with very reasonable prices. This is a family run pizza shop and they seem to truly take pride in their product which is more then can be said for any big chain. Nothing says good food at a reasonable price more then seeing the local police taking their lunch break in a place and there are always cruisers in the parking lot over lunch! Ordered a large Pepperoni pizza and a dozen mild wings. Had a coupon for the combo; it was $16 + $2 for adding a topping. So not a bad deal at all. The pizza was great. Taste, texture, crust all great. Not overly greasy. Good balance sauce to cheese (I'm more a sauce guy). The wings were ok. I'd give them a 3. The taste was too plain for me, I'll order their BBQ wings next time. There were some black marks on a couple of the wings. Not sure if they were char marks or what. The restaurant environment is great too. Staff are inviting and friendly, large TVs with football, and a good selection of beer. I definitely recommend Dominion. read more

I've been here several times now at the recommendation of someone I work with. There are so many pizza shops around Lancaster to choose from but my personal opinion since I've eaten at quite a few is this place is the best of the best! Their Italian sub toasted is wonderful, the bread is great and the quality of the meat and toppings is great. The mozzarella sticks are also really good and they have a huge beer selection.
