We tried one easy solution that didn't work. Then, Elizabeth ordered a replacement (at no charge to us) that was delivered in less than two weeks. We were able to install the part ourselves after one more visit to the shop for Elizabeth to reset the door handle to fit our door....changing the orientation from left to right. We are fortunate that we live only three miles from the store. Although, I am sure that we would receive the same great service if we had to ship the lock back and forth.
