I finally decided to go in and get a meal to go. The first thing is that they have ALOT to choose from and EVERYTHING looks nice and fresh. They have plenty of veggie offerings (greens, corn, beans, etc), pasta, chicken, fish, oxtails, mac and cheese, etc. they even do smoothies. I ordered bbq chicken with green beans and mac and cheese. The servings they give you are HUGE (three pieces of chicken and a large scoop of mac and beans). So what's the problem you ask??? The food had NO seasoning whatsoever. Not the mac, not the green beans, not the chicken. I was sooooo disappointed because everything looked amazing. Now I will say that I've gone to other Caribbean restaurants and always order Caribbean entrees (like oxtails) so maybe that's what I should have ordered. So I'm going to be fair and try them once again and get my usual Oxtail meal and hopefully I will be pleased. Update to come soon.

I don't want to keep add my own seasonings at home. SPICE IT UP. & BRING ON THE FLAVA cuz we can take it! Lol. I ordered on Uber eats from the Bronx. The wait is about an hour or more. You can say the fruit and vegetables (what they have) look okay or fresh enough...but unfortunately when you get home and are ready to eat and prepare the produce, it's on the old side and not fresh at all. I've had to throw away certain produce because they weren't in good shape. The apples seem to look okay...but when ya get home and you bite into them, they're brown and mushy. Just a waste of money. I/We have purchased dairy products in the past such as eggs, milk and yogurt and have had to return the items because they were either old and/or spoiled. Perhaps they have a refrigeration problem or the thermostat is kept way too low?? Just no good. We've noticed that many items on the shelves are on the older side and are outdated. Ketchup, mustard, honey and cookies to name a few. The store did not seem to be very clean the last time I stopped in. The floors were sticky and the merchandise on the shelves were very dusty. I came in to return a gallon of milk which was spoiled and the cashier was very nasty and rude to me because I did not have a receipt...meanwhile she was the one who rang me up the day before. She gave me my money back...but gave me a very hard time for no reason. This is no way to treat customers and to run a business. No way!! Normally a person could just let this go...but this is not the first time. It's happened several times. The little one (cashier) in particular has a rotten attitude. I/We won't be going back to this store anymore. There are better markets and stores one can go to without these types of problems. Not worth it. Sorry......

Produce is plentiful and very fresh. They are well stocked with necessities--milk, bread, eggs, snacks--as well as less-common small market fare such as quinoa and herbal teas. They have a coffee station and a deli counter with cold cuts or where you can grab breakfast or a sandwich to go. In short, all of your standards and more, with a slight emphasis on Eastern Europe/Mediterranean fare--different for this neighborhood that tends to skew Irish, but not unwelcome. More than just a supplemental place to pick up a few things, you could almost use this as a primary supermarket. What a welcome addition to this neighborhood.

You see, as I was randomly scrolling through Yelp trying to come up with some potential food stops, this popped up. I happen to love Butcher Block in Queens and figured maybe this would be similar. Well, this was smaller than I expected, but there was still plenty for me to choose from, and choose, I did. Got a can of mushy peas. I like mushy peas. So what? Also got some bangers. Not touching that one... And a couple housemade frozen pot pies, including chicken curry and steak & kidney. Wish me luck with that second one. Never tried kidney before. I think they also sell sausage rolls and fry up fish & chips on the spot for you. Though don't quote me on either. Plus they carry various Irish biscuits, chocolates and whatnot. I was fascinated by the Woodlawn neighborhood where this is located. It's apparently known as "Little Ireland,' made obvious, indeed, by the various pubs, markets, and restaurants I happened upon nearby. I had no bloody clue! Can't believe what an eejit I am. NYC, I hardly knew ye. For real. 'Twas probably the luck 'o the Irish. Me winding up here. How else to explain it.

Their food truck is a travelling Texas Style Wood Burning BBQ rig that cranks out Kosher Barbecue…read more The truck is cleverly named the Wandering Que and as it travels it creates pop-up restaurants across the metropolitan tri-state area, down toward Philadelphia, and up into New England. Today, we caught up with the Que it as it wandered toward the Crown Market in West Hartford, CT and popped up in Crown's parking lot. We bought two items - a Texas Hold-Em sandwich ($20) with Kosher Pulled Brisket and Kosher smoked sausage and a container of Smoked Egg Drop Soup ($5). The sandwich came in a Styrofoam container with a scoop of red cabbage and carrot slaw, a few pickle slices, and a nice roll on one side and a big pile of those meats on the other side. The sandwich was unassembled so the roll wouldn't get soggy. The Egg Drop Soup tasted more like beef broth than egg drop soup, but it was pretty darned good and had quite a few shreds of beef in there. I thought the brisket and the sausage were pretty good and the portion of meat (plus the fact that they were Kosher) helped justify the $20 cost. On the down side, I have to say the administration of the whole pop-up was a mess. We had to wait more or less at four different stations to walk away with our food: 1) wait on a line before you approached the food truck's ordering window, 2) when given the go ahead, approach the window and place your order, 3) get on another line to pay, and 4) wait more until your food order was ready. All of this took roughly an hour today, no lie. I've been to a lot of food trucks over the years, and I've never seen such a drawn out, convoluted and super slow process as this. And I was very disappointed from a food safety/public health point of view to see that one of their gents used the same less than mint condition gloved hands to count the money and process the credit cards as he did to scoop up some sliced scallions into my soup container.
