We have worked with many contractors over the years and had a few bad experiences-for example, siding came off the building, they sided over property vents, and damaged the roof when attaching their pump staging resulting in leaks into the 3rd floor unit later. Not only is Ryan a really nice guy, he is super communicative and makes sure that everything happens as it's supposed to. I have an extensive garden with many vegetables and flowers and the crew did a marvelous job at protecting my plants and cleaning up. I have multiple crews working on various areas of my property and Ryan was the only one who came on time and did exactly what he said he'd do. I'll keep hiring and recommending them. They also re-shingled a small roof area around the skylight that had mold growing on it and sealed leaks in my gutters. The initial visit with Lucas was great - he listened well, looked at our old skylight and flew a drone over the roof to take pictures and gave me a detailed roof inspection. Because the new skylight model would involve a different sized opening, Lucas identified a clever approach to modify the opening size and finish it off inside with a white PVC trim. Lucas was super responsive any time I had a question and was happy to talk through subtle questions about the shingles. The company got a building permit with my town (Belmont, MA), and the team completed the small area re-shingle, opening adjustment and skylight install all in about 6 weeks since I contracted with them - with the intervening time largely being due to finding the right days to work given weather conditions in late winter, which they were thoughtful about working around. The skylight looks and works great and was good quality work at a fair price - thank you RB Farina roofing!

I initially contacted them to replace a gutter, resulting in an estimate for that specific work, but also several other estimates, one to do some additional roof repair, and one to replace the entire roof. I opted for the full roof replacement (including new gutters, etc) -- reasonably priced, and the roof was at least 18 years old, so definitely ready to be replaced. The resulting work did end up with some additional effort to replace rotting facia board -- I was half expecting that and this additional work was also reasonably priced and performed efficiently. Communication, scheduling, invoicing and payment all were friendly and efficient, and the resulting work is great. I have read some other reviews which are not positive and I can not reconcile those experiences with my own. Early on a friend did share a 2nd hand positive experience (outside the scope of social media) which influenced me to use them; I am glad I made that decision.

Ok, So after hoping our newer home could withstand the brutality of this years winter weather, I…read morewas forced to have to deal with the water coming into my home and the massive ice dams that were responsible. After calling multiple roofing companies all around, Hans Peterson and his Wayland based Peterson Remodeling and Roofing company agreed to come out, on a Sunday for what was quickly escalating into an emergency situation here. He had initially explained that every company, including his own, was completely out straight for almost two weeks at that point, BUT, he'd be there. When he and his 4 man crew arrived, he explained to me every aspect of what they were to do, allaying my concerns regarding some horror stories some had mentioned to me involving some other, less skilled and experienced ice dam removal jobs. Not only did they get the job done relatively quickly, I was pretty impressed at the efficiency of this crew going from one section to the next, clearing the massive chunks of ice, all while carefully protecting the surrounding gardens my wife and I worked so hard over the years to plant and maintain! They covered and protected the external heat pump and even cleared all the gas and water line areas! Unexpected and highly appreciated. When all was said and done, I fully expected the price to be astronomical for the amount of folks involved, and the time they needed for our weird shaped, multi leveled roof etc, but was pleasantly suprised, once again, by the number. After, while cutting the check, he took the time to point out all the water damage issues that could go unseen, and made sure to stress the importance of the removal and replacement of insulation spots and electrical assessment. Needless to say, at this point, we knew we had found "our guy" to handle getting our house back into order. I cannot recommend Hans Peterson, and his Peterson Remodeling and Roofing company highly enough! Dormer work, roofing....tiling...decks. This guy and his crew are top shelf and do it all! Don in sales patiently walked us through our options for shingles, ice water shield, skylights, venting, and gutters. Was very thorough and was not pushy. Cost was in similar reasonable range to some others but with better materials and an all star team. Team came in and completed a 2nd and 3rd story roof with gables, skylights, venting, flashing, gutters, etc in a day. After an unfortunate ice dam that they helped remove, they went above and beyond by redoing the area with new vent, ice water shield, and shingles to ensure they did all they could to prevent reoccurrence.
