Libby had one of the few drive-ins still in operation until the summer of 2007 when a wind storm blew the screen down. The next day the marque said 'Now Playing: Gone With the Wind.' Unfortunately the drive-in will probably not be rebuilt, which is a shame because it was a fun experience, if only for the 50s-style advertisements for refreshments.
The movie theater continues to operate. It has one screen, and plays two movies each evening, generally a children's movie early in the evening, followed by an adult movie later on. I suppose it is nice that there is a theater at all, if you want to get out of the house, but unfortunately the movie selection is rather limited and so you may have better luck at a video rental store if you want a choice of movie.
If you're visiting Libby you should be out enjoying the natural environment, and if you live in Libby, you don't need to read this review because you're no doubt aware of the only theater in town. read more
