Throughout the session, she regularly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and asked whether the stones were too hot, which I really appreciated. Her attentiveness and genuine care made the entire experience relaxing and therapeutic. I left feeling significantly better and much less tense than when I arrived. She was so intuitive to feel what was sensitive and needed extra or less pressure during the session. And she is very easy to talk to and explain the what's and why's of our body's pain. I'm pretty sore after, but that's because I have such tight muscles and they've been ignored for so long that they are sensitive. She even did some gua sha on me, which she was very careful to explain how it works and the potential redness it leaves temporarily. As she was getting started she asked if I liked medium or hard pressure - I said hard, and boy was it (in the best way); she did also check in a few times to make sure the pressure was okay - especially when she was working on a particularly gnarly spot. As she quickly discovered, my shoulders and neck were a mess - she managed to get all of the knots out and still have time to spare for everything else. Who knew my calves were so tight? Not me! Luckily, I had my husband drop me off, but if you need to park, I would definitely come a little earlier to give yourself some extra time! My massage therapist was Christine, who was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about her techniques. However, I indicated on my form that I preferred medium pressure and was surprised by how hard the pressure ended up being. I actually developed a giant purple bruise on the side of my glutes afterward, which was pretty unsettling especially since this was a prenatal massage. She was also very social and this was probably the first massage I've had where I chatted throughout almost the entire thing lol. Between the conversation and the much deeper pressure than I was expecting, I unfortunately didn't find the experience as relaxing as I had hoped. I think she could be a good fit for someone who enjoys very deep pressure and likes chatting during their massage, but it wasn't really the experience I was looking for.

Like why does the room have a random desk and unused shelves? Bizarre. -The massage itself was relaxing but mediocre at best. No communication regards to level of pressure or any specific spots to be careful with or to focus on. So while it was relaxing, I didn't feel like there was any true body work done. - When I first visited, there wasn't a website or Yelp page. Now that there are both, I'm uncomfortable with how they highlight "Asian" massages, especially using stock photos of Asian women to market their business. That kind of marketing raises red flags for me and doesn't reflect well on the professionalism of the business. - This business seems new and could be working out their front desk situation. I paid cash and forgot to ask for a receipt. Went back to ask for one a day later and was told no and asked to come back when the main lady comes in. I told her I made the effort to drop by, so if she could check the schedule and even call my phone number that I used to confirm I really had a massage, that could help. She still said no and couldn't give a receipt. I've never had this issue at other massage places. I wont be returning.
