He did not immediately start with shoulder exercises but through guided breathing and gentle body work, (stretching and pressure) he relaxed my body and worked around my sore shoulder explaining how everything is connected and needs to be treated holistically. Peter is awesome! He listens carefully to your needs and has an in-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology which he uses to explain why your body might be tight. His fingers can ferret out all the knots in your body and loosen them up. Usually, Peter will give me an overall body massage, but when I need it as I did last week, he will concentrate on the problem area and give me blessed relief. I didn't see Peter for a couple of months and after this massage I will NOT be missing any of my monthly visits. I love the environment at his studio. The massage room is downstairs with a bathroom on the same floor. The room looks out to a beautiful zen garden which gives you a sense of calm and peace as soon as you enter. I highly recommend Peter Rothblatt. Peter fixes the problems in my body and generally just makes my body feel better. I am a mom and oftentimes I get stiff necks, shoulders, back, etc due to nursing and lifting my kids. Peter finds the tight, uncomfortable spots in my neck, shoulders and back and works the tightness until the muscles loosen up and feel much better. When I leave, I can go back and lift my kids or nurse my daughter and I feel much better doing so. I try to exercise fairly regulary and end up with achy feet and an achy back and sometimes achy neck and shoulders if I swim alot. Once again, Peter can find the key spot in my feet, back, neck or shoulders and work it until it eases the tightness. When I work out next, it's like my body is brand new. During both of my pregnancies, I visited Peter for massages every 4-6 weeks. During pregnancy, nothing in my body felt too great. Peter worked with me and helped me manage the discomfort I was having. No matter what it was, Peter could make me feel better. He always made sure I was completely comfortable during the session, adjusting my position as often as needed. He worked my back, hips, legs and feet to keep them as comfortable as possible with all the extra pregnancy weight. I don't have a lot of time in my life to take care of me. Getting a massage from Peter is a luxury I cannot give up. I really think if I didn't visit Peter every 4-6 weeks, I would not be able to lift my kids or comfortably nurse my daughter. And I definitely wouldn't feel as good working out as I do without my monthly massage from Peter. read more

Peter Rothblatt is not a just a masseur, not even just a body worker, but a true miracle worker. I went to him, hunched and limping, to try to loosen up lines of knots running down my back, around my shoulder blades and in my neck that came from many months of no excercise or coupled with a recent bad fall onto a marble floor. I had four weeks, 7 sessions aItogether that I could book before my 50th birthday party.... a rock n roll bash that had been six months in the planning. This former dancer listened to me for five minutes and then went to work, resting out the knots one by one...reminding me to breath while his thumbs ferreted out the 100+ tender spots. Each time I asked him why something hurt, he would explain the anatomy of it and then explain the intertwining nerve system with the precision and completeness of a medical professor. I can't say that it felt good during the sessions the first couple of times..I hadn't asked for spa treatments. But I felt fantastic after each session. A little looser, a little more flexible. Misway through I had another bad fall...this time cracking two ribs in my back. But Peter's great hands and even better karma did the impossible and I was dancing on my 50th as if I were 25 x 2 all over again.
