Just got a massage so this is very fresh! What an amazing experience. Everyone was so nice and my masseuse hit all the areas I circled. I got an aroma oil massage and will be coming back. Definitely one of the better massages I've had. I feel so relaxed and nimble. Recommending to all of my friends. read more

First time here. Booked the traditional Thai massage for an hour, $100. As soon as you walk in, you see their refreshments and hear their relaxing music. The front desk lady welcomed us in, signed a form which decides how gentle, medium or strong you want your message. We changed to their slippers, and walked in on one of the rooms divided by curtains. Then changed to their provided clothing. The massage was nice, they check in if you're doing ok and how do you like the pressure. Can always request and adjust throughout. They definitely hit the tensed spots. read more

The 90min aroma oil massage is a great start on my hunt for additional massage therapists since my fav spa closed. The facility is clean, quiet, and the tables are comfortable with excellent face cradles. The massage therapist was able to work all areas with my requested pressure. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and taken care of. One improvement I could see is to provide some type of choice of "aromatherapy" to what is called an aroma oil massage. There was no smell to the oil, and I was expecting one with the description of the service. I plan to return and this was a solid choice for a relaxing and therapeutic massage! read more

Gina was very skilled. Awesome for first-timers like me! Helped relieve my back pain.

Courteous front desk staff, incredible traditional Thai massage. Really glad I gave it a try! Will be back :)

Most of their therapist are great. Parking is so easy there as well as always having appointments .

My go to in SF for a massage! La Nee is located off of Valencia street, near Caesar Chavez. There is some street parking available. I always get the aroma thai massage whenever I feel stressed. You can specify the pressure based on your preference. After my massage, I feel like a new person The rooms are separated by curtains, and you are offered tea or water before and after your massage. You can walk around to local shops on valencia after your massage. There's a couple of good restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend for a self care day! read more

Really such a wonderful spot. So grateful for the massage I received. Vibes were immaculate.

Was visiting from our of town and La Nee Thai massage was a recommendation from a local. Hands down the BEST two hour massage ($190 before tip. Bring cash for tip) of my life. I didn't get her name, but her feet and fingers were so strong! Exactly what I was looking for. It was a full two hour massage, she took no breaks. La Nee Thai was also flexible on my massage start time, I needed to push it back an hour and they were able to accommodate. I also love that they they give you clothes to wear during the massage. I wish I lived closer, I would go monthly! read more

Service was great and vibe as expected for quality establishment. Would recommend for those seeking a relaxing time. read more

Excellent and reliable massage place. I have always had a good experience here. I enjoy Thai massage with some people may prefer a lighter swedish approach read more

had a Thai massage ...left the place with a pulled /torn muscle on my left shoulder... so beware! They may be certified massage employees but sure don't believei it! Never going back there again! read more

I have never had a Thai massage anywhere else, but I've had other styles of massage, and this was one of the best massages I've had in the city. I came on a friend's recommendation, and left feeling much renewed. read more

I my significant other and I have probably had 30 - 40 massages here between the two of us over the last 8 years. They have always been wonderful, until tonight. My husband booked a 2 hour massage for me because I was in a lot of pain. I normally request "medium" pressure but today, since I was particularly tight, I requested "strong" pressure. The massage was worse than mediocre. It was bad. Despite requesting "strong" pressure, I had to ask the therapist multiple times to increase the pressure because it felt like a Swedish massage. It was clear the massage therapist had no interest in being there or giving a massage. She was checked out and not paying attention to my body or what she was doing. Each time she moved to a new part of my body, she did the same single stroke repeatedly and without paying attention to how my muscles were responding. Also, there was a woman in the space next to me who was speaking very loudly to her massage therapist the entire time. It was the opposite of relaxing. At the end, I told the manager about my experience and asked her to either refund the massage, or comp it and book another one for me tomorrow as my body was still extremely tight and I really need a massage. I am not after getting my money back - I am after getting the service I requested and paid for. Here is how the conversation went. Mgr: I cannot do that. The best I can do is take $20 off. The owners do not allow me to give any more than that. I'm not the owner. I just do what they tell me. Me: ok, can you please have the owner call me then? Mgr: They won't do that. They won't want to talk. Me: you're saying they are not interested in hearing feedback from loyal customers? Mgr: no, they just trust me to make all the decisions. Me: But you just said they don't allow you to give any more than $20 because you're just the manager. read more

I had come here because I had a birthday present voucher that was good for two massages. Upon arrival at the chicken desk the lady looked up the computer and said that yes, it's indeed good for two massages and including tip of $24. She proceeded to say that's the tip amount is going to be put towards this massage, if that would be OK and I was confused because the massage is $80 itself, and I thought it would be weird for my husband to pay for the tip for only one massage when he said that it was good for two. I said OK nonetheless because she was already talking to the masseuse and gave me the shoes to change into, and I'm new to the US so I always freak out when people ask me to calculate tip. That's a 30% tip for a service that didn't even start. It just left a bad taste in my mouth that she pushed to have that kind of tip all on the first massage (before it started) and told me that for the next massage I would just have to pay tip separately. Is the assumption of a 30% tip for a massage the norm here? read more

Sidney was available at the last minute. Very strong, very attentive! Lovely calm and wholesome place. Will be back for more.

I contacted La Nee Thai the within the same day that I wanted an appointment. According to their booking system on their website, nothing was available. I was glad that I called because the lady on the phone was able to put me in for an appointment in late afternoon after work. Therefore, I would suggest to call instead of solely relying on the booking system on their website. The waiting area seemed clean. There were water dispensers available for clients. Slippers were available upon request. My body needed a herbal Thai massage, which involved with having hot herbal balls padding on my body. My therapist was nice but I have had ones with better techniques. I have to say that the entire massage felt rushed. Part of it could be because she needed to go in and out of the room to get the "herbal balls". The overall experience was okay. I would still keep La Nee in mind for last-minute needs. read more

Incredible body work. Highly recommend the herbal massage. The staff could not be more friendly and the place is extremely clean and the vibe totally relaxing. read more

I'm so happy that La Nee is OPEN again (with numerous safety precautions) after months of Coronavirus closure. They've really taken it seriously -- everyone is masked at all times (including you, the person getting a massage, of course!); the capacity of the space seems majorly reduced; hepa air filters everywhere, and massage procedures seem to be somewhat tweaked to reduce contact. Anyway, after 6 months of back pain, I can't believe how much LIGHTER I feel. They stretched something out and it feels like I took an invisible backpack off -- like a weight has been lifted. So amazing. Just be sure you know what to expect from a Thai style massage -- they will pull your limbs and stretch you out. It's an "active" experience, not a "relaxed" one per se. read more

$90 for a 60 min aromatherapy session. First time here and it was great. They gave me the full hour. I called and got an appointment same day despite availability limited online for the same day. Massages aren't really my cup of tea but La Née may have changed my perspective. If I am going to get a massage I want it to get deep in there and work out the tightness. While past experiences haven't quite met those requirements this one did. Even got to be a bit much but the masseuse backed off quickly without keeping pressure where I wanted it. Very positive all round. read more

Best Thai massage I've ever had. I would usually go to Suchada Thai in Mission Bay, but the last massage therapist kept farting, once while squatting on my back. Pui is great at La Nee. She listens and asks questions. Her pressure is consistent. I often ask for varied pressure in different areas, and Pui respected my requests. She definitely gets those knots out, and it lasts weeks because your muscles maintain the relaxed state. read more

I've been going to La Nee for years and I want to see them make it through this pandemic. It's my go-to for impromptu massages. It's clean and thoughtful and organized with lovely people working there. The massage therapists as a whole are great. I always for for the oil massage myself and love Vicky and Gina and Cindy. Totally professional operation and so grateful to have it in my hood. read more

UGH, I loved every minute of this! I called about an hour in advance, and fortunately, La Nee Thai Massage accommodated a last-minute request for me and my friend. The first thing that I noticed was how the massage place creates a relaxing, spa-like experience, unlike some of the more straightforward massage places where I've been. The front desk area has water, hot oolong tea, and chilled chrysanthemum team. The massage area itself is filled with many beds, closed off by curtains. This entire area is dimly lit and quiet. When I arrived, I filled out a questionnaire of my medical history, where I wanted the masseuse to focus, and the kind of pressure I wanted. I chose medium, and then regretted it despite my perceived tolerance for pain. When I yelped, KP, my masseuse immediately adjusted to a more gentle pressure, and I enjoyed the rest of the sixty-minute massage. Overall, La Nee Thai Massage is probably the most professional service that I've come across, and I would happily return. read more

Great place for a Thai massage and very easy to book an appointment. I usually book a 60 minute Traditional Thai Massage with Gina. She is THE best and I've had great massages with her. Gina works out every kink in your body and makes it a point to ask if you want her to be more gentle or firm during the massage. I prefer a more firm massage as I have a lot of soreness in my mid/lower back so it helps tremendously with my pain. If you decide to come here, ask for Gina! read more

My last two visits here, I've been booking last minute on the same day for the aroma oil Thai massage. I usually try to request for a female massage therapist, but I ended up with a male massage therapist each time since no females were available. It worked out great though, I had awesome massages. Bill was great, he stood out to me because he gave a good foot massage. Mike was also great, I came in after a day of working out my back and shoulders. He really paid attention to my problem areas and gave the right amount of pressure. I would've been really sore the next day if he hadn't worked on me. This is still my go to place for a massage! I never had a bad experience and I've had a different massage therapist each time. read more

finally decided to get a massage and since i live around the neighborhood i decided to go this place. I called in to book a same day appointment and was able to get one right away. Natalie did my massage and she was great! I was having some back and neck problems and she definitely hit the spot. I asked if they had tiger balm since i looooove tiger balm, and they do, so that's a plus. I had the 60 mns massage just to see how it would be like but I think 30 mns would be enough for me here. Definitely recommend this place read more

"Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth, and faithfulness the best relationship," said Buddha. A simple 60-minute Aromatherapy massage at La Nee takes care of the first two, at an affordable $70 (before tip). The concept of "affordable" is slowly fading into a myth for me. In this city where rents have skyrocketed, many businesses have increased their prices. Yet, while other day spas have priced me out as a client, La Nee hasn't. Isn't it a comforting thought that mere plebians like myself can still take care of our health and happiness in this city without monetary wealth? If you are used to the traditional Swedish massages, heed the following warning: the massage therapist may jump up on the table with you and sit on you while massaging your butt. The first time this happened, I thought to myself, "Oh no! I guess I didn't make it clear I didn't want *that* kind of massage." Luckily, the rest of the massage went without incident. As it turns out, butt-massaging is pretty normal. What's also normal is that you will be stretched as if you were a Gumby toy while wearing nothing but a sheet. While mortifying, it feels great to assume all those yoga poses without having to do the yoga yourself. Modesty should be checked at the door. The best part? Warm towels to wipe off all the lotion and to aide in muscle relaxation. So Zen! read more
