Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) Our group of 7 was fed up and we left.

Previously, I did most of my axe throwing in my enchanted forest. After one too many yeets, several maple trees ganged up and tortured me in my sleep -- leaving me behind as they ran away to find new ground. You are greeted by the charismatic host, Dick, who explains to you the rules of the game and the gore you are about to expect. I hate scary things so I was terrified. But as we move into the 3 escape rooms, it gets less and less scary. There are live actors mixed with a bunch of animatronics. The actors do get rather close to you, but it is nothing extreme. Our group did not make it through, but we definitely had a lot of laughs on the way. Escape rooms are great for groups, with the level of creepiness, I would say this is more so for 13+.

She watched us through video, and we could speak with her through intercom. She helped us when we requested, and did not make us feel as if we were total morons for not figuring something out. The keys were a huge part of getting the rest of the stuff we needed. I bet the manager 10.00 if he could find the keys. Did not have time he said. THEY WERE NOT IN THERE! As we discussed this at the desk before we left. We were given two free passes. There was 8 of us. Money should have been totally returned. Wasted an hour of my time. With no hopes of getting out due to NO KEYS!!
