Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) Our group of 7 was fed up and we left.

Things got dicey there at the end but we were all so proud to have broken out. Bobby was our Game Master and they were a total delight. Even though one of their coworkers forgot to reset a lock, we played along and pretended it was still locked until we found its hint. The game truly was challenging and each step forward we made was so rewarding. There were some clues I just could never have made the logical leap to solve without a hint from our GM, but I'm glad they give us hints so that we enjoy our time. We laughed a lot over our fumbles and celebrated our successes together. It was a wonderful double date and I hope to come back as soon as I can to experience it again! Thanks, Bobby!
