Things got dicey there at the end but we were all so proud to have broken out. Bobby was our Game Master and they were a total delight. Even though one of their coworkers forgot to reset a lock, we played along and pretended it was still locked until we found its hint. The game truly was challenging and each step forward we made was so rewarding. There were some clues I just could never have made the logical leap to solve without a hint from our GM, but I'm glad they give us hints so that we enjoy our time. We laughed a lot over our fumbles and celebrated our successes together. It was a wonderful double date and I hope to come back as soon as I can to experience it again! Thanks, Bobby!

None of the puzzles were…read moreadequately signposted, we spent a lot of time with the right answers and no clue what to do with them. It felt like you were just supposed to guess a lot of stuff with no way to figure it out other than blind chance (or hints). The handcuff gimmick was at least interesting.

An hour and a half to two hours is much more reasonable, affordable and fair. In addition the sound is way too low for people who have hearing deficiencies. I know the idea is to be mysterious, but the sound negatively affected our fun. And the greeter was too soft spoken also, barely audible. When you're excited to play you don't want to miss a beat. I hope someone from the org makes changes.

I was so excited to try my first escape room for my birthday, finding one locally was great!…read more Unfortunately I dont have any great review to share and am happy to share it w the business before sharing publicly. Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) Our group of 7 was fed up and we left.

Mystery Mayhem Escapes was a mystery indeed because I had no idea this establishment existed. I enjoyed the facility, and the owner was a pleasant resource for axe throwing tips. Previously, I did most of my axe throwing in my enchanted forest. After one too many yeets, several maple trees ganged up and tortured me in my sleep -- leaving me behind as they ran away to find new ground. I would return, but one of the trees fell on my Nissan Leaf rental car.

I specifically chose Puzzle Room because I read online it was good for teenagers and I wanted to take my 14 yo niece and 12 yo nephew. We chose Christmas Countdown. It was really challenging. I was actually surprised how hard the one room was. Speaking of, this is very different from other Escape rooms that I have done as once you solve the puzzle a door opens and leads you into another room with puzzles! It was really fun and stressful - we solved the puzzle with 4 seconds to spare. After we got out my niece and nephew were ready to do another one. We cannot wait to come back and do the Sasquatch puzzle!
