An hour and a half to two hours is much more reasonable, affordable and fair. In addition the sound is way too low for people who have hearing deficiencies. I know the idea is to be mysterious, but the sound negatively affected our fun. And the greeter was too soft spoken also, barely audible. When you're excited to play you don't want to miss a beat. Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) Mystery Mayhem Escapes was a mystery indeed because I had no idea this establishment existed. I enjoyed the facility, and the owner was a pleasant resource for axe throwing tips. Previously, I did most of my axe throwing in my enchanted forest. After one too many yeets, several maple trees ganged up and tortured me in my sleep -- leaving me behind as they ran away to find new ground. All of us had a blast solving puzzles and competing to see which group would solve their room first. The puzzles are challenging and really engage everyone's unique abilities. I was actually surprised how hard the one room was. Speaking of, this is very different from other Escape rooms that I have done as once you solve the puzzle a door opens and leads you into another room with puzzles! It was really fun and stressful - we solved the puzzle with 4 seconds to spare. After we got out my niece and nephew were ready to do another one. We cannot wait to come back and do the Sasquatch puzzle!

They also have Primal Pigment which is a cool way to let your inner creative side out! It's basically an interactive art studio- unwind, throw paint and have fun! This is great for parties and is BYOB! Great stress relief or fun and different activity to check out!
