Went to Puzzle Room Pittsburgh for the first time Saturday. It was easy to book our reservation online ahead of time. I specifically chose Puzzle Room because I read online it was good for teenagers and I wanted to take my 14 yo niece and 12 yo nephew. We chose Christmas Countdown. It was really challenging. I was actually surprised how hard the one room was. Speaking of, this is very different from other Escape rooms that I have done as once you solve the puzzle a door opens and leads you into another room with puzzles! It was really fun and stressful - we solved the puzzle with 4 seconds to spare. After we got out my niece and nephew were ready to do another one. We cannot wait to come back and do the Sasquatch puzzle! read more

What a fun experience!  Thrilling and imaginatively themed Escape Rooms!  They are located right outside the city, in Verona.  Checked out the Christmas Countdown themed escape room and it was fun, challenging and magical.  The theme especially this time of year was extra fun.  The puzzles were hard but enjoyable.  It really makes you think and use teamwork to get the clues and puzzles solved.  The owners are so friendly and you can totally tell are very passionate about what they do.  I would highly recommend Puzzle Pittsburgh if you were looking for an escape room around Pittsburgh. They also have Primal Pigment which is a cool way to let your inner creative side out! It's basically an interactive art studio- unwind, throw paint and have fun! My family loves doing rooms. Did this with my wife and two daughters 10 and 8. Sasquatch room. Alicia our game master was awesome. She was on top of things and helped us out when we were messing up one part. She was also very nice to my daughters. We used our 3 clues and ended up with the third fastest time of the month. We just got back from attempting Escape the undead and Sarah was amazing. Giving us 10 extra minutes 5 minutes from knowing the name of this guy. The other 5 from my niece singing Chandelier - Sia. We did this Escape Room on a whim when we saw the tickets on Groupon. We have done a few others and thought "Why not?" Well, The Study did not disappoint! The theming of the room was incredible. Ever time we thought we were at the end, there was another twist. The puzzles were challenging enough that nothing jumped right out at you, you had to really think. One of the other things I really like was there wasn't a clock on the wall basically shouting the time at you, the clock is hidden in the room and you have to find it to know how much time you have left. After we got out we stayed to chat with the puzzlemaster and he explained some of the inner workings to us which was super cool. He also told us that they completely designed and built these rooms on their own, which was super impressive. All in all we will be back! I can't wait to try the Sasquatch room where you clock is the setting sun, it sounds great! read more

Prop was broken so we could not finish the game. My group paid over 100 for the experience and they would not extend the time or offer a refund. Staff was apathetic at best. There are many escape rooms in Pittsburgh, avoid this one. read more

I've been to a few puzzle rooms before and this one was my favorite. My mother, sister, and I did "The Study" and it was really well thought out and clever. I thought it was going to end on many occasions, but was pleasantly surprised when the puzzles continued. My mother and sister had not been to an escape room before and they also loved it. We are escape room operators and huge enthusiasts. We visited Puzzle Room Pittsburgh this past weekend while in town for another event. Of the 60 rooms we have experienced SEEKING SASQUATCH was one of our favorites. Great story line with a well designed room and props fitting perfectly within it. Excellent puzzles with answers ending in unique results. In addition it was a clean facility with welcoming staff. We will be making a trip back soon to try both their 2nd room (The Study) as well as their rumored 3rd which should be opening in the fall. read more
