Always have had very positive experiences with Dolphin pools in Newmarket. I have been a customer for many years and have had them do my pool openings/closings, bought my pool chemicals-parts, BBQ's and supplies from them. Family run business, good staff, good prices. read more

Beyond atrocious experience. 2 inexperienced, unprofessional and incompetent doorknobs show up at my property, unannounced and a day earlier than scheduled. All this while I was out of town on business. Dennis, the owner and chief asshole, tries to gaslight me saying "that's what we scheduled it for, not our fault you got the date wrong" when there is a ~100% chance I would NEVER have scheduled this while my wife and kids are home alone and I was out of town. No chance. Zero. The 2 clowns they sent left the property with the filter set to "Backwash" without saying anything to anyone. This resulted in approx. 5,000 litres of water FLOODING my neighbor's basement, and washing away another neighbor's flowerbed. My wife was only made aware of this by our neighbor screaming at her (*again, WHILE I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR BUSINESS). This also caused significant strain and damage to the pool equipment, running at 50psi pressure due to the lack of water in the pool after their screwup. When speaking to Dennis today, I asked for a refund due to the ridiculously horrible service and experience I had. To which he so politely informed me "Oh F-off, mother-f'er, we did the work and I have NOTHING else to say to you" Read the other reviews - they all say the same thing "Buying a BBQ, they're great!" however anything about pool services is the same nightmare after nightmare with these clowns. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Scammers, unprofessional, unhelpful and point of fact down right combative and abusive of their "customers" Dolphin Pools is a total failure of a company, and Dennis Chafe is an even worse human being. If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible horrible experience. Never again. read more

These guys all they want is your money. they are unexperienced and have new workers every year. All they do is come and ruin your equipment and then tell you they did nothing. They costed me last year $7000 in damages. I will post some pictures if you're crazy and you want your equipment to be ruined use these people i'm going to be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They should be closed not allowed near anybody's backyard. use your risk should be the sign store. read more

A very irresponsible people and business. They ruined our pool system as well as the pool liner. We hired them to do the yearly maintenance on our pool (opening and closing and weekly services) and they damaged the pool system all together. DO NOT recommend them at all. They are just after your money and and don't take responsibility for their damages and non professional services. Customer service has no place in this business!! read more

I hired Dolphin to replace my pool heater recently and they responded right away. Three days later the heater was installed and the old one removed. I have also hired them to replace my vinyl liner. Hope it goes well. Stay tuned. read more

I'm kind of glad I waited a number of months after visiting this place for the first time to write a review. I bought two relatively high end barbecues here last summer, and I was quite happy with the price, the service I received at the store, as well as with the subsequent delivery and assembly. The barbecues have worked great, except for a small issue with one, which brings me to the second part of this review. Last October, soon after using one of the barbecues for the first time, the back panel fell off it. I have to imagine there was an issue with the assembly, as it was supposed to be held on by 4 fasteners, and all 4 were gone without a trace. I called Dolphin Pools, explained the issue, and was assured all would be taken care of. Skip to 7 months later. After multiple phone calls, and multiple visits to the store to pick up a set of the missing clips, I've finally got them, and the issue is now resolved. I'm happy it's taken care of, but I'm not happy with the speed of service, nor the communication - as every single follow up was initiated by me. There were also quite a few times that I called or stopped by only to find out the person I had made the initial complaint to wasn't working - and for this reason nothing could be done. I was told to call back or come back another day. Seems strange to me that the employees here don't have knowledge of what goes on in the store in general. They're all very nice; I just wish they shared a little more. read more

I bought a 12 x 24 above ground pool here about 8 years ago as well as a salt system. I didn't know anything about these pools and trusted I would receive approved and compatible equipment. All the rails have now rusted and it will be about $3,000 to replace the STEEL rails and caps as the STEEL pool he sold me is not compatible with a SALT system. I cannot get new resin rails as they are not available from the pool manufacturer. My only option is to convert to chlorine (no - my son breaks out in a rash), or replace the entire skeleton and probably the liner as well. Now looking at about $5,000. May as well just get a new pool! I have already been screamed at by the owner years ago when I wanted to replace some caps, and never went back. I doubt he would have treated me that way if I had a husband behind me but as a single mom I've encountered this type of behavior from bullies before. read more
