He stopped by on his way home from the hospital after his wife just gave birth to his child a couple hours after I spoke with him. After another area electrician dropped the ball on some electrical work that was supposed to be…read moredone prior to our move-in, our lovely realtor swooped in to suggest we get a quote from Thompson Electric instead as a trusted area company. Thompson provided us a quote that seemed reasonable given the extent of work - primarily replacement of the electrical panel - and I was able to schedule a time with them for the job to be done. They must be in demand because it was about 3 weeks out! On the scheduled day, the electrician promptly arrived early in the morning and set-up shop in our garage to complete the work. He kept me updated about when the electric would be shut off, when it was back on, checked all of the rooms to be sure he could notate which switches went to which areas of the house, and then explained the new panel configuration when the job was done. He was out there working for most of the day and even put up some painted board around the panel to hide that the drywall out there had to be cut for the work to be done. I was expecting we'd have to patch that up ourselves and now it looks quite nice!
