The mechanic ended up burning out a module due to mixing up two wires…read more The module was a dealer only part. I tried several times to just recover the cost of the part ($42) since I found a used one on EBay. I sent receipts and all. He has basically ghosted me. The total repair for the damages he cost were upward of $600 in between module and programming required through Land Rover dealer only.

Not only did he cause more damage to the vehicle, but the condition he left it in put my family in danger. The gas was splashing out within inches of the muffler, and if it would have hit, the car would have exploded with my 5 year old in it. He is a nice person, but not a competent mechanic. Literally hire at your own risk! I ended up hiring, and paying extra $500, for someone else to fix what he created, and make the car safe again for me and my family.

Miguel Garcia introduced me to Lake's Auto center, and I can honestly say experiences like this are…read moreextremely rare. I have dealt with a lot of mechanic shops over the years and I know how this industry works. Trust is not something that comes easily when it comes to car repairs. But the moment I started working directly with Joe, I knew I was dealing with someone different. Joe is the definition of honest. Straightforward, transparent, and truly focused on helping the customer instead of just running up a bill. The situation with my car was not simple. It was actually a very complicated issue that could have easily turned into a stressful and expensive nightmare. Instead, they handled everything with professionalism and confidence and made something extremely complex feel like an absolute breeze. What impressed me the most was the integrity. They explained everything clearly, walked me through the process, and made sure I understood exactly what was happening. That level of transparency is something you almost never see anymore. Because of this experience, this will not only be the place I bring my personal vehicle. I will also be bringing my entire fleet of ten vehicles here moving forward. When you find people you can truly trust in the automotive world, you stick with them. Finding an honest mechanic today feels like finding a needle in a haystack. This place is the real deal. If you want a shop that is professional, trustworthy, and genuinely looking out for your best interest, I could not recommend Lake's Auto center more.

My daughter wanted to surprise me in Father's Day, with my car being fixed. she heard how highly I had spoken of him, and found his information without me knowing. This dude went far and beyond what I have ever experience with a mechanic or with people in Miami. without me knowing, my daughter snuck my keys to him and he worked on my car on FATHERS DAY, in the Miami Heat, for 3hrs. He changed several things on my vehicle, flushed the system, ran diagnostics and found the issue. However the issue wasn't something that couldn't be fixed in a day. He was disappointed he couldn't help my daughter with her surprise more. He tried not to charge her for his services, but she insisted on tipping him what she could. Jonathan, Im not sure if you remember me and I apologize this review was due a long time ago. Thank you so much for helping my daughter. Thank you for being an exceptional mechanic and person in Miami. Why this guy doesn't haven't 5 stars is beyond me. Anyone that has complained about his prices, you gotta be joking! what he did for my daughter and for me, hands down a winner all day long. I needed help, and I let him know I was on a tight budget. Honestly, he deserved more. But helping my daughter and I was more important to him. i wish I had better words to reflect the review you deserve. I hope I never have another cat that needs worked on, but if I do, I know I'm calling you! if any of yall are looking for an outstanding mechanic and that's also mobile, you would be crazy not to have him come look at your vehicle. The more I write the more I keep thinking ways he tried to help me and to save money. Issues I explained to other mechanics, had no clue, and Jonathan was dead on simply from what I explained. idk what else to say. But from the bottom of my daughters and I hearts, Thank You! Its beyond amazing what you tried to do for her. And I sincerely hope this review gives you the credit and increases your work credibility. Wish you all the best bud. Truly Greatful Lawrence
