He was so nice and pleasent to deal with. The financing process was flawless and fast! We pick up our family's next adventure on Monday because they go through all their campers before they leave the lot to ensure everything is working as it should and the propane is topped off! We looked at other dealers in and even out of Michigan and Todd and Earl ( Financing) got us the best price we found out there!!!! My wife and I could not be anymore happier with the way we were treated and listened to!!!!! FYI we bought a 2019 Forest River Salem 31KQBTS.

Service Terrible - Dangerous Employees!…read more I very rarely write a review but this is a horror service story that is worth your time. The short story is the salesman are nice but the service department is beyond terrible. I bought my camper at Hamilton RV. There are other bad story's including them using my toilet but this story begins when I took my camper in because my awning motor wasn't working correctly. They did fix the motor but after I took it on our first trip, we realized it was not rolling up and fitting in the track properly. After returning, I called them up, took it back in and they told me that it was an awning issue and had nothing to do with the motor replacement. I touched base with the manufacturer who disagreed with Hamilton RV. I told them that the Palomino was in disagreement but they still charged me. I didn't argue because I didn't wan the trouble. Along with the awning re-alignment, I also asked them to caulk the camper and put in new vinyl trim insert because most of it was either cracked or already missing. They called me to come pick up my camper saying it was finished. After spending time waiting for paperwork and for them to bring it to me, I noticed that they never installed any of the vinyl trim that I asked for. They said they would take care of it and charged me more money to do it. At this point I'm getting aggravated because they had to charge me more money again. I left Hamilton RV and went home to await another phone call. After a day went by, they called me up. I went again to pick up my camper and went through the motions of paperwork and waiting for them to bring my camper up to me only to find out when I wen to look at it that they never bothered to caulk my camper (which I already paid for). The technician went out and confirmed several calk cracks in the camper had not been fixed. so once again, I left my camper there to come back another day. I got another call a couple days later to come pick up my camper but this time, I wasn't going to wait to check it over. I drove back to look at the camper and realized that there were more issues with their work right away which I had suspected. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY BAD! A technician comes back and says "Do you have permission to be back here". I said no, but I am checking over my camper to make sure the work was completed. He said "Well you have to get out of here". I was not budging and said "This is my camper and my 3rd visit to a job not done and I am not waiting to inspect it". He got irate and said "I don't care, get the F*** out of here." Recognizing that this is getting out of hand really fast, I told him to get a manager. He said, I will punch you in the F***ing face. Right there I left all of my stuff and ran to the front office to get help. He was making "Whaaa" sounds like a baby as I was leaving. I talked to a sales manager who was nice and came back there to help me inspect it and verified again that it was not complete. He said that the service manager nor general manager was available but to leave the camper there and he would have them contact me. Naturally, I left awaiting another phone call. A couple hours later the general manager calls to inquire about the situation. Even though she asked what I needed to complete the camper, she dismissed the issue with her employee. It started with "Its not excuse for his actions but"..... then she started talking about how the technicians are dealing with stuff and the service manager isn't there or something. Then after talking further about his actions, she said "I understand you had a heated discussion". Right there I new this would not go anywhere. I can handle a heated discussion but this guy was dangerous and willing to fight me because I wanted to inspect my camper after I have been wronged several times by his department. She said she would have it fixed today or the next morning. 2 days later I had to call and they said they were still working on it. I got a call in the afternoon that they had completed it. They had it waiting there when I came to pick it up. They vinyl was fixed, the caulking job they did is sealed up but looks awful (they never cleaned it, just caulked over dirt and grease). Save yourself really big headaches and DONT take your camper to their service department.

When I went and looked at the camper I did a small inspection of my own to the best of my ability. The black tank was FULL, mind you it's the middle of winter so now I'm concerned if the camper was properly winterized, the sales guy seemed to be completely unaware of this. Before agreeing to purchase I wanted an inspection done on the waterlines, hot water tank and the appliances, along with the black tank emptied and cleaned out. I was told everything was great, no concerns so the purchase was agreed to along with a phone call conversation asking if I wanted to have my propane tanks filled and batteries replaced from our sales rep Dave Steighner, which I said yes to. Fast forward now to my first trip with the camper.... here's where it starts. Rear jacks are not lowering, hot water tank has leaked and flooded the whole storage under the camper, HUGE old mouse nest in the AC unit, hot water water tank isn't heating up, TV doesn't work, lights aren't working inside the unit and the ceiling vent is leaking and no propane in my tanks. I make a phone call first thing Monday to service explaining what happened and asking how all these issues were missed. I read off the receipt that says "Inspection: waterlines, appliances, hot water tank" to have been checked over and how I was told everything was good to go. She can't give me any answers besides that I can maybe send them the bill for the repairs made assuming I took it in to be fixed when I had to drive all over northern Michigan to find what my father needed to fix it while on our vacation, "I don't really think there's anything we can do" and says that the service manager will be "reaching out". No response from TradeWinds at all. 2 weeks later I finally get a call back from Elina at the service (Not the service manager) stating that according to Dave, just the water lines were to have been looked at. Funny, I have proof stating other and $600 for my waterlines to be checked over?? "I'm sorry there's really nothing we can do." If my water lines were actually checked you would have found the leak from my tank because as soon as water went into the tank water came out. The same weekend I'm having all these issues with the unit, Dave Steighner is asking me to pitch a sale for him on a 2021 camper he just got in if I know anyone looking. This has been an unbelievable first experience on purchasing a camper and I can assure you that I will NEVER be making another purchase or service with TradeWinds and will be informing anyone who mentions making a purchase from here of what I am going through to have this issue resolved.
