It was first thing in the morning and I was the first person in. I came back in and said I don't have change so I will quickly look for an item so I can use my debit. She asked me how long I was going to be because "we" are holding up the line now. I told her to go ahead and cancel my transaction and let her go next. She said she is not "allowed" and will need to wait for me to shop before she can move on to the next. She asked me how long it take for me to shop. I told her to to forget about it and left. I will not be shopping here anymore. This interaction made me feel that the stores procedures my fault and my responsibility. Also I'm sure she can cancel transactions as she would need to do so given I chose to leave the store in order to make any other future transactions. This store has not been welcoming for awhile. You have to put your drinks up at the front as if the store is a high-end brick and mortar. This is a thrift store.

Some of the changes have been positive and other leave a lot to be desired. They made the move several years back next to the Tim Horton's and Sobeys which has helped a lot with the parking issues they had over at their prior location. (not enough stalls and getting stuck in snowdrifts in winter) The larger location has also allowed them the ability to take in more donations making it so there is more items to go through when you are in the store "treasure hunting". The biggest issue they have right now is also alienating them a lot from the community. In the last few years the prices have gone up almost double on some items and whoever prices their brand name clothes has no idea what they are doing. Yes I am more then happy to pay a little more for a Roxy hoodie but not when the decal on the front is worn and the string is missing. With the recent improvements made by their competitor Salvation Army I am really not sure how much longer these folks are going to be around. I usually stop in once a month and sometimes when I go I will see the same items for sale that I saw the month prior....definitely not a good sign.

Winners is a weird store. Not weird as in bad, just weird as in I either go to Winners and want to…read morebuy everything or I go in, and want to buy nothing and leave disgusted. My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

No Frills is just as its name suggests, no frills. This is a grocery store chain of the…read moreSuperstore/President's Choice variety, but on a much smaller scale and with much less selection than a Superstore or even an Extra Foods. They don't carry a lot of the President's Choice Brand items (although they do have the PC Decadent Cookies which are amazing), but they have a lot of No Name, and No Frills brand. Sometimes stock can get pretty picked over, especially if there's a sale or during the after office hours (3pm to 6pm-ish), but if get here during the week on a morning the stock is usually pretty decent. Sometimes the produce can be a little ifffy, but maybe it's just that time of year right now where produce is kinda crappy no matter where you go. Today I went to No Frills for their dollar days sale and I picked two boxes of Chapman's ice cream sandwiches (4 per box) for $1 each, and two 500ml containers of Chapman's ice cream for $1 each. Did I need the ice cream or ice cream sandwiches? Yes. Yes I did. You can't go wrong with ice cream at that price. Most of Leduc's grocery stores are on 50th Street north of 50 Avenue (Sobey's, Safeway), or are west in the very busy Leduc Common shopping area (Walmart, Bulk Barn), so it's nice to go to Extra Foods where the traffic is a little less busy. While it's not inside the store there is a small Liquor Store right next to the No Frill's.

Checked eBay and the prices + shipping seemed really high. Teleported back to 2018. Checked Bestbuy online and the price was $60. Hmmm... seems high for a game that came out 3 years ago. Checked EB games online and the price was $40 for a recycled copy - so I figured why not? I called the Leduc store to see if they had a recycled copy on-hand. Spoke to Chad and Chad was all like "bro, just cop the new copy it's actually $30 right now fam!"(conversation probably not verbatim) - due to some Sony promotion. I live in SW Edmonton, so Bestbuy is actually a lot closer - thought I'd just drive there instead. I called Bestbuy to see if they 1) had the game and 2) were also offering it for $30. Have you ever tried calling a Bestbuy store for help? Try it - I'll wait. GOOD LUCK. Anyway, drove down to Leduc and picked up my game! This is the 3rd or 4th game I've bought from here in the last few months and the service is always consistent and the staff are really helpful! AND you can actually call the store and have someone answer and answer your questions, put stuff on hold, etc. Shout out to Chad!

Second, their trades are insane. If they give you 50 cents for a game, they sell it for 15 or 20 dollars.
