He has a great way of keeping track of how many items go in by asking if it would "be easier to hand them to him" (from the cart) and takes you and the items to a fitting room. I actually liked that. The cashiers were not the best. The stood there having a personal conversation for two minutes (yes I timed them.). Once their story to each other was finished they were engaging w/customers and good, but I unappreciated (greatly) being ignored and not rung up in a timely manner. Nordstroms policies are slipping. So is their merchandise selections. I just didn't feel there was any value or savings to most of the items that were there today. This is why I probably don't shop there often as I'm usually disappointed.

They arbitrarily decide to close their fitting rooms (once my family members were the only ones in the entire store, and they said their fitting rooms were closed because they were understaffed, but there were multiple workers). They have yelled at my family members too, and were condescending. They also arbitrarily don't allow returns. I'm certain that the workers are racist, but even if they're not, they're at the very least nasty people who obviously shouldn't be in retail. If you want cheap clothing, I would recommend going to any of the other locations!

The major drawback of this location is that it cannot be easily accessed if heading south on State Street due to the medians in the road. A left turn at a light, followed by a U-Turn is required. In an area that is not flush with convenient stores, this makes the location, well, not very convenient during rush hour traffic. Coupled with the new traffic patterns on this section of State Street you could find yourself taking longer to get to a pump than it takes you to fill up and grab some beef jerky and a scratch off ticket. You can follow the road behind the Monroe in order to get southbound on State, again waiting at a congested light. The inside of the store is brightly lit and always well stocked. The outside area also includes an air compressor, which is free if you have a Duchess loyalty card.
