If you have nice, child-related items that you would like to get something for but you don't want to go to the trouble of selling it yourself, this is a great option. A statue of General Granbury proudly stands in one corner. There are numerous shops and restaurants to explore, as well other interests a short walk away (bed and breakfasts, an art gallery, a library and the old jail). The public beach is also walkable from the square, making for a nice walk to see the water or perhaps to look at some of the bed and breakfasts (there are B&B options on the square, and also walking distance from the square). The plaza is home to many event throughout the year. During these times the parking lot is used for vendors and entertainment, and makes for a lovely way to spend the day. That's what you get here--old-style architecture and a small-town vibe that, if just for a moment, makes you feel like you've been transported back in time.
