Store got rid of the best Subway they had! I can barely find foot long sandwiches to get.. Store isn't 24/7 anymore and that sucks! The slave wages, no benefits and under 39 hour work schedules are scaring staff away. Lot of the managers aren't around and can't get any help.. Seems so stressed out lately.. Wish Walmart paid better with better benefits and full time 45 hours, instead of hurting the workers that do show up. But that's ok.. I'll forgive but i won't forget. The Murphy USA sucks because i was forced to give out my phone number and there wasn't any dark roast coffee available in the mornings. i hate being disrespected and mistreated by over stressed staff.. In a small town like Stephenville, there isn't much to do in your downtime except drink, smoke pot, and enjoy the carnal pleasures of flesh. However. There IS Walmart. If you want to go out to socialize? Walmart. You need food? Walmart. You need medicine? Walmart. You need entertainment? Walmart. You need some books for fun? Walmart. You need to make some friends? Walmart. Basically in a small town like this Walmart is your go-to for pretty much anything, and that's just the way the conglomerate likes it. It's great for college students because we're cheap and are very likely to ignore expiration dates and food allergies if it means a temporary reprieve from the looming responsibility hiding behind graduation. Had many fun times here with my friends people watching, buying snacks, getting some movies, just walking around the store and buying nothing but wanting to get out for a little bit. One time a man gave me sage advice in this very store at 4am. Anyways, good store, good staff, good things being sold in it, fantastic snack isle. read more

The tire service center is absolutely terrible. The employees do not care about their job or the services they provide. We asked to get a tire check ed and all they did was kick the tires and say you're good to go. 20 minutes later the tire is being patched at a service center down the road. Once again, they do not care about their job or your tire and automotive needs. read more

I was on my way to a mini vacation when I stop by Walmart to get a few things. Then I go to pay with my card and it would not work no matter what we did. It works everywhere else I go. I even went over to the Walmart gas station and it works there. It's a two and a half hours to find a way to get the money to buy what I needed. I'm no longer going to Walmart. read more

When you order something on line, the site advertises an certain item, the website takes your order, you pay for the order, then a delivery date is given, there are certain expectations. The last thing you are expecting is when the delivery date arrives, a email is received telling you your order is delayed. No reason no information, you are just told that delivery was delayed. No possible reason, no new delivery date, it is just not happening. I'm Walmart doesn't have a specific product, don't accept the order. Try being a good store.... The way Walmart used to be. Eh, it's a wal-mart. It's a shopping center located in Stephenville Texas. PROS + It's wal-mart. It is going to have affordable general groceries. + It's location in town is actually really good, and it's big for the town. CONS - It's wal-mart. The usual negatives apply, such as there always being something out of stock and unhappy drone workers, really strange customers and no specialized merchandise. - The drones here are REALLY unhappy and unhelpful. I actually worked here once back in 2008, and while I didn't find the store itself to be that bad, the "in group" was one of the worst I've experienced here in Stephenville. It shows even as a customer, most employees WILL blatantly ignore someone asking them for assistance. Like they will stare straight ahead and keep doing what they are doing, and try to avoid talking to you. - Many of it's departments are constantly understaffed, and finding assistance for anything is a chore outside of the electronics or sports sections. - They legitimately never have enough cash registers open. It's a common theme to see registers 1-7 working (1 and 2 are fast check out) along with 3 or so self check out machines running, even if they have so many people in each line that the lines have extended back against and into the aisles. This happens multiple times per day. It's a wal-mart. You don't come here for the quality or the service, you come here for the ease of access to groceries. I've seen worse wal-marts, but I've seen better wal-marts too. Ours is kind of average. read more
