Then proceeded to check out at the service desk to purchase a scratch-off ticket while I was there. I had to wait approximately 5 mins before someone from the office came to the counter. As she approached the counter, the employee seemed annoyed that I needed assistance. For what reason I don't know? I asked the employee politely for a #15 scratch-off, and I wanted to pay for my 2 items as well. After I paid for the items, she just pushed the items back at me, as if she was annoyed by me disturbing her so she could ring up my 2 items and the scratch-off. I then asked her for a bag, and she replied "We don't have bags here because we don't check out groceries here!" As if I insulted her or something? I didn't say anything, I just took my Items and then grabbed a bag from the self-checkout lane, then left. You know it's bad enough that Winn Dixie's service and selection has declined since Aldi took over, but now I have to put up with rude cashiers because I wanted to purchase something from there store. Well screw you. You have now lost a long time customer. I will now go to publix instead. At least there the staff thanks you for being a customer, and they don't get snippy with you for making a purchase.

All of the workers have been nice to me and I look forward to seeing them when I shop. I also learned to look in the app for coupons which helps a lot with saving money. I discovered recently how great their cakes taste. Originally I was going to get the 2 tiered cake for my daughter's birthday but when I went back someone already bought it. For $30 you can't go wrong. I ended up picking up a single layered round cake, I believe it was roughly $15, and was surprised at how well it tasted. It was pretty moist but what really made an impression was the whipped icing. It made it not overly sweet which is why my daughter normally doesn't like cake. She actually wanted to save a piece to eat it later. You can also preorder custom cakes but there is always a good selection in the fridge when you're in a hurry.

At one point, Lisa told her helper "you might need to go to the bank for me." Then, after the three of us had a lengthy conversation about traffic on Hwy 19, Lisa reached into the cash register and handed me $40. She made it seem like she was doing me a favor by paying me $40 for at least 23 items!! Last Spring, I took about 12 items in and she paid me $45 When I browsed through the shop, I saw one blouse with a $29 price tag on it. I wish I had kept my items and donated them to my church thrift store. I will not go back, and I do not recommend the resale shop to anyone.

That is where my mother-in-law gets her prescriptions. All of the people I have talked to there are friendly, helpful and prompt at completing my order. One of them suggested a generic to use in place of the brand name, and said "ask your doctor if he thinks it is OK". I saw a customer cry when the pharmacist told him how much his prescription was, and I wanted to tell him about Canada Drugs, but that is t a conversation I felt I should initiate since I was a stranger to him. They all you to remind you when your medicine level is getting low so they can handle your order in timely msn er for you.

I used to shop here often, as it is in walking distance and I don't often have a car to go to…read morebigger stores such as Walmart, Kmart or Target. This would often have the things I need at prices that aren't as crazy as if I got them at the drug store or supermarket. However since the new Dollar General opened, this Family Dollar seems to have gone down hill. The selection has been lack luster, and I've even been accused of shoplifting just because I had decided to put an item back and get it later. Obviously I was innocent, but the employee was very rude about it. It's not illegal to decide you don't want an item.

She said to me , "Don't worry I am going to fix this for you. She tried and tried different things and FINALLY she said that the item did go through and never should have been rejected. She bagged it and put it into my cart and said , "Never on my watch." She understands tight budgets for retired persons. Bless her heart is all I can say.
