The place is dirty, unkept, unorganized. Messy aisles. Merchandise scattered all around the place. Long lines and very creepy folks.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet is an American chain of discount closeout retailers. They sell a variety of overstocked and unsold items. Their merchandise includes seasonal products, pet supplies, apparel, games and toys for all ages, household goods, beach supplies, candy, cookies, dry goods, books etc. The Ollie's Cares Foundation supports feeding America, Children's Miracle, Toys for Tots and several other generous charities. Ollie's raises more than 2 million a year for trustworthy charities. So much to be proud about! I originally walked in with the intentions of purchasing a Ollie's gift card, butter cookies and the $5 advertised Children games. I did purchase the gift card but unfortunately the butter cookies were out of stock and the floor team could not locate the $5 games. I was disappointed but I will complement the very pleasant and relentless staff in trying to help find these nonexistent games. Lol. Another plus is cashier Taylor, she was so sweet and courteous. An asset to your business! And plenty of parking in a well lit lot. Best wishes Ollie's! I'm sure I'll visit you again.

I like that concept, so many great products I see disappear from the dollar stores as they become a little too expensive to sell anymore. This Family Dollar carries a very wide selection of just about anything you might need. I was surprised at the amount of Christmas and Holiday decorations. You could probably say 50% or more shopping here as compared with how much the item is in the supermarket. Shopping experience here is easy and organized. This Store is very large. You can select from clothing to grocery, cookware, housewares. The items and merchandise offered are always a little different, I like that was it prevents the selection from becoming stale. They always have the good old standby's and back to school supplies. The shelves and displays were very neat and well-organized. I found it a pleasure to be able to easily select what I needed without having to look everywhere. If you need something and you're out of luck, no worries here if it's over a buck. Family Dollar. I made the mistake of going into this place open minded. First thing I noticed was how well organized and clean this store was. Seeing everything in its place makes you feel like they care about the Store. Second the staff was unbelievably friendly. They greeted me walking in and even asked if I needed help. I didn't think customers service existed anymore. Third and certainly not least, they have ever name brand here for less! I mean a lot less! They have Planters honey roasted nuts for $2.75. I pay $4.99 at Best Market. They also have shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, and of course the spatula I was looking for at a fraction of the price. I'm a CVS guy always have and will be. But if I need to save from time to time or get peanuts, you can bet I will go to Family Dollar!

However, they did have some great skincare stuff on clearance, and I found a blue and white dog bed that matches my kitchen. Huge selection of dog treats. No gluten-free pasta. No large magnifying mirrors with suction cups. Cashier was somewhat pushy about the credit card. I get that they HAVE to push it, but I expect the topic to be dropped when I decline to lift the security freezes on my credit. I don't want to have to explain that it costs $30 to refreeze the accounts, which is more than the paltry 10% discount I would have received for this purchase. But I did. Anyway, aside from the annoying credit card push (not their fault, I understand that they have to ask every customer), it's a good place for dog, beauty, and exercise stuff. I didn't look at the clothes, purses, or shoes, because I don't need any.

It's a collection of little houses and sheds, all antique and collectible shops. Adorable!! Not all the places were open--they are on Saturdays--but I did wander into a couple. I didn't find a covered dish, but I did find a lamp that I liked (didn't buy it as I would need to find a place for it) and spoke with some VERY nice, friendly shop owners. The shops are all very individual. Some specialize in a certain type of collectible, some sell art, and others have a variety of offerings. Prices were generally quite reasonable. I will definitely go back on a Saturday, probably with a friend, and wander through more of the shops. I'm positive that I took pictures, but I can't find them. Will add if I do.

Consider Barntique Village a great place to find some of this...stuff. I use that word "stuff" because this interestingly-setup Moriches location is filled with all kinds of it. Before I say another word about...stuff, I do want to mention that you could easily think Barntique is actually a little historical village or a place to have a picnic. Nah. It's actually just filled with stuff. Tons of tiny barns, houses, shacks, and anything else that can fit a person inside of it can be found at Barntique, each one offering an eclectic variety of...well, you know. My fiancée and I (along with her family) came here a few weekends ago and stumbled upon some great finds. Some wall items for our new home, a rustic-looking bread box, and a little Christmas decor to round out the trip. What's great is that we didn't pay full price for anything we bought as the idea of Barntique is similar to a flea market. Haggling price is totally something doable (if you want to) and so we were able to shave some dollars off most of our purchases. So when you come, there's definitely a chance to find some great stuff, but in between the positives, there is a lot of stuff you're just going to have to sift through. A few of the shacks and shops were set up beautifully while many were rather messy. Plus one of them (the biggest barn in the village) wasn't open and another was still setting up though the owners weren't the friendliest. Some time, patience, and sifting is definitely helpful here. Overall, I'd give Barntique Village a 3.5 star rating with a little nudge towards four knowing we found several great items the day we went. With that in mind, it makes it desirable to want to return to Barntique again. Though just be warned as you might have to do your best to get through a lot of...things (Ha!) if you want to find something worth buying.
