There a section of door mats that is so cute. There was a hamburger doormat and even steamed soup dumplings. I decided to get the steamed soup dumpling doormat. It is so fun and unique. Their Easter items are also out on display. They are really cute this year. I was kindly helped at the checkout by a very friendly employee. She showed me where I could download a coupon to use on my purchase. I saved $5. That was very nice of her. I will definitely have to remember to come here more often. It was a very pleasant and fun shopping experience.

I arrive and immediately make my way over to the holiday section located in the back of the store. Aisles were empty, costumes were sparse, and things were in disarray. This trip turned out to be a costume fail as well. I came here expecting a lot more given the fact that Halloween is coming up in a few weeks and major businesses typically roll out the holiday items about 3 months in advance. Just my luck...

But once you step inside the store, you see that it's in a very deep and narrow space, so it's a bit deceiving. They had a lot of Halloween and fall decorations which I enjoyed browsing through. I found a small cute Halloween pumpkin with a black kitten on the top of it, to place on my fireplace mantle. It's small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. It's was $2.25, which wasn't too bad of a deal.

It was just the way I remembered it, lots of home goods, purses, clothes, shoes, beauty products, and kitchenware. When I walked in there was a security guard standing just inside. Then he pushed an empty cart out of the way so I could get a good shot of the interior entrance. It was so nice. I checked out the purses next. They had a large selection with several big name designers. I saw many that I liked. Then I saw a small black handbag that was almost exactly like one I had just bought online from a boutique for twice the price, except mine was in a different color. Next time I need a purse I'm coming to TJ Maxx first. The store was pretty crowded and it was difficult to get around at times. The aisles were narrow and goods from the shelves sometimes spilled out onto the floor. It was loud, too, with screaming kids. After about 20 minutes I started getting a headache and decided it was time to leave. I ended up buying a set of cutting boards, magnetic bag clips with strawberries on them, and a Kate Spade pencil case. Everything was so inexpensive. I was surprised by how low the total was at the cash register.

Known for typically being a one stop shop, you'd assume you would find all your Halloween/spooky needs here. That was unfortunately not the case for us. I took advantage of the Buy 2, Get 1 Free body care deal, got some men's lotion and body wash for my husband that were also on sale, did the 5 for $28 Wallflowers deal, the 3 for $10 spray hand sanitizers, and found a really cute Wallflower plug-in too! I left with a bunch of goodies and was really happy with everything I found. I also tried the Rainbow Cereal hand soap at their sink and absolutely loved the scent. While I was washing my hands, the sink stopped sensing that I was there, and an employee named Angie came over and sweetly explained that you kind of have to walk past it to get it going again. I asked her if they had anything else in the Rainbow Cereal scent, and she told me they only had the soap, but immediately offered to show me other scents I might like. I told her I was interested in Wallflowers, and she actually walked over with me, smelled different scents with me, asked me questions about what I liked, including whether I liked amber scents, and helped me choose ones she thought I would enjoy. She was SO sweet, patient, friendly, and easy to talk to. I genuinely enjoyed talking with her, and she made the whole experience even better. It didn't feel like she was just trying to sell me something -- she actually took the time to help me find scents based on what I liked. I already love shopping at Bath & Body Works, but employees like Angie are what make a good shopping trip even more enjoyable.
