This grocery outlet is one of my new favorite stores. Newly touched up. Excellent produce and fruit. You can tell they care. Items here i don't normally see. I had to stop in at the Dollar Tree last night to pick up plates, silverware and cups for my daughter's upcoming birthday party. This was probably the most dirtiest Dollar Tree I have ever been in - the floors were disgusting and there were items everywhere. They also had a lot of empty shelves - I'm not sure how often they get restocks or new items in. I didn't even take any photos because I quickly grabbed what we needed and got out of there as fast as I could. Staff were no stand out, but I'm sure they deal with a lot of craziness which explains why they may not be the most friendliest. They were still doing their jobs and were fast and efficient though. I only paid $19 for all the stuff I bought which you can't beat anywhere else, but this location needs a deep clean badly. We won't be back to this location unfortunately! read more

Floors look like they never, ever get cleaned. Went to get movie snacks. Prices have gone up! M&M's were $5.00! Not worth coming to a dirty store when I can go next door to Safeway which is sparkling clean and pay $5.00 for M&M's. Dollar tree has lost their way. End of an Era. read more

Looking past the dirty floors, this store appears to be run by absentee owners. Ive seen a line stretching literally across the store and one check stand open. And the lonely checker is dealing with a problem customer whose credit card isn't working. In the meantime, unhoused customers are walking out the door stealing bags and bags of items joined by frustrated customers exiting the line and leaving their cart or walking away without paying. I have witnessed this almost every time I shop here. If a store has a culture of ignoring retail theft, it is encouraging it and you get more people participating in free shopping. I'm pretty sure this review will get no response from the management. I regret that I have to leave such a poor review, but I hope the owners might wake up and actively manage this store. read more

This is by far the worst Dollar Tree that I've ever shopped at. The store is absolutely dirty, and several shelves are empty. Everything is disorganized and all over the floor. Staff always pleasant at checkout. Day after xmas, staffer was mopping front display area. Seems as though the staff care and are doing everything they can to keep the place orderly and cleaned up. New student apartments next door are opening soon, so that'll bring in a ton of additional foot traffic. While I wrote this review, numerous folks entered the store to shop. Folks came out with their half dozen helium balloons shining brightly in the frigid sunny day (41°.) Another favorite item, the Sunday Sacramento Bee is $1, for those who like to hold on to the news, leisurely complete the crosswords and reuse the paper for soaking up oil under the potato pancakes, the fish 'n chips, a tray cookie bake and so many other items. read more

I have to give credit where credit is due and this store is due. They are slowly making a turn around. They now have the shelves organized much better in an effort to make the store look cleaner. More lines seem to be available so you don't have to wait as long, but there's still homeless adults smoking drugs out in front of the store and the floor in the store needs to be mopped and the outside of the store pressure washed. Prices still are too high to be called Dollar Tree and they need a wider variety of food, hygiene, and cleaning products. read more

I moved to the area a few months ago and this was maybe my third time coming here... the store is disgusting inside and out... no one cleans.. no one stocks shelves.. attaching one photo.. I should have took more pictures of the floors and the rest of the shelves but I was just disgusted... The clerk was extremely nice though and I didn't bother ranting to her about how horrible this store was... WHAT A SHAME! This is by far the worst Dollar Tree I have ever been in. I gave the store the benefit of the doubt the first few times do to begin new to the area. The store is only about half stocked and looks like a bus load of kids ransacked the store. Merchandise is on the floor, not in its proper location, pretty much everywhere it does not belong. It's a shame that I'll have to drive out of my way to go Dollar General ! Furthermore, it's not very fun fighting through the gauntlet of homeless out in front of the store! read more

Lamar at the Folsom Blvd store made my day!!! it was heaven to hear his positivity and love of customers

This use to be my favorite dollar tree store in Sacramento, but it has really gone downhill. I live nearby and stop by often because of convenience. Gone are the days of orderly and clean isles. Now many isles look like a hurricane blew through. Expect to wait in a long line most of the time with only one register open. read more

The employees are all nice considering the crazy customers sometimes and the super long lines. There is only ever one cashier at all times and they always take it on with no complaints. It sucks their manager always seems to be sitting in her office unwilling to help every time I show. I've walked out a few times myself when I didn't have the time to wait in a line that lead to the back of the store. read more

Look, y'all. It's a Dollar Tree. It's not specialty grocery, like at ALL, and it's often half depleted of stock because Sac State is around the corner & college students are on a budget like the rest of us. But I prefer this location to others because of the dude named Lamar working the register until closing. This cat is on top of everything in there- he's friendly, he greets each customer on entry, he politely lets people come to the conclusion on their own that it's proooooobably best if they don't attempt to shoplift all the s**t they may have just tried to hide on their person, lol, he calls for backup when the lines get long & he hustles to move the line through. He's dope and he should be a manager if he isn't one already. Having worked in retail off & on for years, it takes a strong constitution to handle the...um... temperament of anyone in any economic bracket or... state of mental health... coming through the doors. A NEW KID ON THE BLOCK, HIS NAME IS LAMAR and let me tell you all stores should clone his Customer Service. He multi tasks, acknowledges each and every customer in that store with a "Welcome In". Everybody that I saw was super happy he was there. Upbeat, funny and maybe you should staff that store with the same type of personality. It made for a great shopping experience. This Dollar Tree location has a vast selection and the items are arranged orderly but was out of stock of CB 2032 batteries. They have Fedor Emelianenko DVDs, Stacker2 Energy drinks, and foil balloons. It's the type of premium balloons I'd normally find at Wishing Well. They had Cafe Bustelo coffee in-stock. Target is the only store in my neighborhood which sells Cafe Bustelo for $4.49. The store was packed during a late afternoon but they do limit capacity to 47 customers during COVID. read more

Stopped here to buy some items for a family BBQ. My youngest kiddo who's potty training expressed she needed to go pee. My husband asked the nearest clerk who wasn't even nice about it. The store associate who's Hispanic and in her early 20s explained there's no public restroom. Now I understand that for adults who should know how to hold their doings. However for a tiny child who's about to pee their pants? What the hell is wrong with people?! I will definitely never be going to this location ever again nor will my family. Rude. read more

BEST Dollar store I've ever been to! Large selection and it was clean and organized! We needed materials for a party (themed party) and we literally bought almost everything we needed at this location! We spent $90, but I know we saved more than we spent if we got our items at Party City or some other party place. Customer service was pretty good too! We bought so much stuff that a line started to form as we were being processed and the lady called for back up instead of letting the other customers wait. Location is next to a light rail, but security is really good and if you have too many items they will help you to your car :) read more

This is the cleanest, classiest, most customer-service-oriented Dollar Tree I have ever seen - it is the Nordstrom of Dollar Tree Stores. (Yeah, I went there.) I don't mind the chaotic nature of most Dollar Tree's - I like getting fantastic party decorations, gift wrap, holiday knick knacks, greeting cards, and tons of other fun things, for $1 more than I care about entering a well-run, cheery store. But you don't have to choose here... and it's ruined me for every other Dollar Tree in town. There is a place for everything, and everything in its place. Employees are on the floor helping customers, stocking shelves, and cleaning up. I was so impressed that I asked to speak with the manager to compliment him on his exceptional store - something I have never done anywhere before or since. And it's huge - probably the biggest Dollar Tree in town. (The wrapping paper and gift bag section are especially extensive - why pay 5 times as much at a Hallmark store?) read more

It's a Dollar Tree but for some items it's a perfect place to pick things up. The parking is almost always fine, no real problems except when the nearby gym is holding classes. After dark there's often folks loitering but the front of the store is kept lit up and the martial arts gym next door offers a degree of confidence nothing would happen. Don't expect 5-star environments. It's a Dollar Tree, so a degree of organized chaos is expected (it's the same pretty much every Dollar Tree I've been to from Sacramento to Anaheim). The items I expect to be there have always been there at the expected price of $1. The cleanliness varies. If there aren't many folks there it seems like the employees will occupy their time with organizing, fronting and facing, etc. I think they try, all in all. Perhaps things will be different when the new Grocery Outlet comes in next door (looking forward to that), but I'll continue shopping here for frequent, if rather unimportant, items I use regularly (soaps, organizing boxes, some kitchen stuff, etc.) read more

Clutch! I always forget about this Dollar Tree that is in the most random location. Nestled in a very nondescript section of Folsom Boulevard, where many of the other places are currently vacant. I was on the hunt for balloons. I was expecting the rubber ones, but not at this DT, they're fancy. They only sell Mylar ones and they're $1 (duh!)! Such a gem. Almost all of the options are already blown up in multiple quantities, so you don't really need an employee to come over and help, although they will if you need assistance. Nicest DT crew I'v ever experienced. I've been to my share of DT & 99 cent stores - hey, I'm a baller-on-a-budget, and this one, by far, kills it with kindness. They have tons of the random junk that all the other stores, but as many have alluded to its very organized. Stuff isn't on the floor or jammed in the wrong shelf. Its kept very well and I almost, just almost feel like I'm NOT in a DT. I absolutely adore the idea of shopping where everything costs $1. I would give it zero star if I could. First & last time shopping at Dollar Tree at location: 7020 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95823. I was mistreated by the worst and rudest cashier ever in my life on Jan. 05, 2024, around 12:40pm. She is a black middle-aged woman by the name Su. I've never shop at Dollar Tree before but have always heard good things about them from family and friends. I happened to be driving by the one off Stockton blvd and 65th. So, I thought I'd check it out. There were so many selections. I was impressed with the many selections of items they have and how inexpensive they were. I thought to myself, this is a great place to shop. Well, that was before I went to checkout with the most unprofessional and rudest cashier I've ever met by the name SU. She's a middle-aged black woman. I was waiting patiently to be helped by her while she was still helping the customer in front of me. While waiting to be help, other customers came behind me and started to put their items on the counter, too. So, I reached for the divider stick and put it between our items so that their items and my items do not get mixed together. The belt counter kept moving non-stop. The cashier SU grabbed the divider and yelled at me and said, "Why did you do that?" I was confused and puzzled. I didn't understand what she meant by that. I then said to her in a calm voice, " I don't know what you mean? I didn't do anything. You did that if you mean why the counter is moving. So, I attempted to get the divider again. She snatched the divider from my hand and yelled again, "Don't touch my shit! This is the problem, if you don't touch it!" She was very rude and angry . She said, "You touch it!" referring to the divider stick. I replied, "Yes, because I didn't want their stuff to get mixed with mine. She didn't care and still yelled at me for something I didn't even understand. She didn't give me a clear explanation as to why she was so angry. I still didn't understand. After she was done yelling at me, she turned to the people behind me and asked, "Who's next?" I told her that I am next I am before them! She refused to help me. So, I left my item on the counter and said to her, "You shouldn't work in customer service with that kind of attitude. Yiu are very unprofessional! She yelled back at me, "Don't make me go over there! She threatened to beat me. I can't believe that Dollar Tree or any company would hire such a vulgered and rude employee like her. With that kind of attitude and unprofessionalism, she shouldn't be serving the public, and she should be fired! I can't believe that Dollar Tree would allow this kind of aggressive behavior. Not all dollar trees are the same. I learned this on a recent visit to this one in pursuit of a pool noodle. Why seek out a pool noodle in the dead of winter, you ask? They are commonly used to help angle baby car seats, but that is beside the point. I found this Dollar Tree to have less of a selection than the store downtown or further up Folsom Blvd. Usually I can come in seeking one item and will inevitably leave with $20 worth of crap I didn't need. This was the first time I glanced at the shelves and wasn't impressed by the selection or the total lack of certain smaller items (toothbrushes?) I was seeking. That's not to say this Dollar Tree is bad, and it may well have been an off day considering I came during the peak of the holidays. read more

This is the cleanest dollar store I've been to in my whole life and I was pleasantly surprised that most of the customers were not crack heads, hookers or stoner's. I suspect the reason is it's close proximity to east sac. All you get are old people buying knick knacks to hoard or toys for their thousands of cats. I work in the area so I shop here frequently. I've always received pretty good customer service from the staff here. I stopped in yesterday and was greeted upon walking in by a young man who was sweeping the front area. It caught me by surprise because he greeted me with a warm smile AND asked if I needed help finding anything. He went the extra mile and told me to let him know if I have any questions. That truly impressed me, as it didn't appear to be scripted or forced. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!After gathering my items, I headed to the checkout counter and the same young man rang me up. I witnessed him extending the same awesome customer service to the ppl ahead of me in line. I made sure that I got his name before I left . Dollar Tree is fun. I do NOT recommend buying any household products that are not brand name, because trust me, they are crap! Window cleaner does not work @ all! Also, WTF, they sell pregnancy tests!!!??? People, you REALLY should shell out more than ONE DOLLAR for such an important item. But hell, if you get a "NEGATIVE" result and in 9 months a baby pops into the toilet when you thought you just had poop cramps, no biggie. Haul your cheap butt back to the Dollar Tree & spend $20 and you'll have all the crappy made in china baby gear you need. The managers were having a meeting by the front door as i was rolling my cart out and i had 4 bags and some extra items. I forgot that the wheels lock. I love the dollar store! This one definitely needs work though. Every time I enter/exit this place, there is always some crazy person hanging out outside causing a scene. They do have the most amazing smelling soy candles though. They also have a wide variety of junk food and one time use plates for picnics! Just be careful...
