After looking around, I think they've done it. For essentials and things you didn't know you needed until you see it here, this place has got it covered. The name of this store sums it up -- a lot of dollar items and dollar or more-plus things, but none were over-priced compared to comparable places. The last thing asked as I left the store was if I was looking for anything in particular, because he'd order it. Everyone who came in was offered a basket for shopping and if they needed it, assistance in finding something. If it wasn't here, he said he'd order it and for that person to come back next week. Who has customer service like that anymore? and in a 99c+ store? Three stars, but I have to throw in another one for the customer service.

It's not like a Goodwill where it's sort of like a free-for-all even their knickknacks in home decor is sorted very well. I found some amazing pajamas that originally retail for $130 for only $2! I always find amazing pieces there. My niece even found her prom dress there and it was on sale for $12 and it was absolutely gorgeous. Fit her like a glove and looked brand new. They even have a nice selection of wedding dresses and upscale outfits, even cultural traditional wear, which I've never really seen in thrift stores before.

I recently released my book Purple Rose: The Stars Carry Her Name -- Letters from Me to Her, a collection written for a woman I love living in Raleigh, and I was able to write some of those love letters and poems right here in this lovely café. Lucky Tree regularly hosts open mic nights for musicians and poetry-focused events, and the owners are deeply involved in the local arts scene. I liked that they had an inside bar where some of the vendors were housed and samples of a lot of local goodies. The mobile boutiques were cute and had cute clothes. The live music was also a great touch! Parking is definitely not ideal. We got lucky finding a single parking spot after circling the block and parking lot. My friend's mom is handicapped and there aren't many handicap accessible parking places. The streets are uneven and difficult to walk on.
