Prices are all over the place now. I've seen items for $1.25, $1.50, $1.75... and without even thinking, I grabbed some Easter string decorations that ended up being $5 each. I didn't realize until checkout, which was pretty frustrating. The whole point of going to a dollar store used to be that you didn't have to think about prices--you could just grab a few cheap, simple things and go. Now it feels like you have to double-check everything, which kind of defeats the purpose. If I wanted to carefully compare prices or pay more for items, I'd just go somewhere else. Even places like Goodwill don't always feel like a deal anymore, so it's disappointing to see dollar stores heading in the same direction. At the end of the day, this just doesn't feel like a "dollar store" experience anymore.

They are striving to open a transitional facility that will give victims and survivors housing, counseling, therapy, education, financial aid, healthcare, and childcare. Rufs is located in the St. Lucie plaza. While this plaza has seen better days, don't let the shabby exterior deter you from visiting this gem of a thrift store. Inside is a boutique like interior with tons of clothes, accessories, small appliances, and household goods. Prices are deeply discounted and everything is attractively arranged. If you have a young lady in your life in need of a formal dress for prom or homecoming, this is the place to go. Gowns which still had their hundreds of dollars price tags were marked down to $50. Another item that caught my eye was a the perfect pair of high heels for Halloween. The couple who were working the store were friendly and sweet. Come out and support this great organization while updating your wardrobe and saving money all at the same time.

I finally gave in to the viral Asian ice cream fruit that have been all over social media. A gas…read morestation near my house was selling them at a pretty outrageous price, but someone on Facebook mentioned a few other places that carried them for much less. I happened to be working out nearby, realized I'd driven past this market countless times, and figured it was the perfect opportunity to stop in. As soon as I walked inside, I spotted a freezer right by the register packed with Asia ice creams I'd never seen before. There were so many unique flavors that it was honestly hard not to grab one of everything. I ended up picking a nice variety, and I can't wait to work my way through them at home. The man behind the counter was incredibly friendly, and we chatted for a few minutes. I asked him which flavor was his favorite, and without hesitation he recommended the mango and the strawberry. Coincidentally, those were the two I was most excited to try as well. I didn't spend much time browsing the rest of the store because I was completely focused on my ice cream haul and getting it home before it melted. From what I did see, though, they seemed to have a great selection of Asian groceries and specialty products. I'll definitely be back to explore the aisles on another visit. It's always fun discovering foods from other cultures and trying something different. They sell donated furniture, household goods, lamps, small appliances, art collectibles, books, CD's, clothes, and accessories. They had a great selection and the prices were very reasonable in their clean and well organized store. They had a cute boutique section and you may even find vintage and antique pieces tucked into the shelves. Follow them on Facebook for notification of upcoming sales. If you are looking to donate, they accept household furniture, household goods, clothing, and toys in very good condition. Donations of food must be nonperishable and not expired. This long standing charitable organization is a wonderful place to shop and to give to.
