Not everything was $5 or less today though. I guess that's the state of things. I ended up buying a big bag of mostly candy for $31. Some for me and some as quirky gifts for friends. Self-checkout was easy. Overall the store was clean and well-stocked, though a little messy/disorganized. Some stuff, especially in the candy "bins" was not in the right bins, which makes the prices confusing. One of the candies I bought, I thought it was going to be $4 but it was $2.50. And a toy I bought, I had no indication of price at all, and it turned out to be $4. Their stock changes regularly so it's fun to just check in every so often to see what they have. And if you see something you're interested in, it's a good idea to buy, as it may not be there the next time you visit. Staff I talked to were polite and professional. Parking was easy - it's in a big strip mall sort of shopping center.

They had a clothing boutique section immediately on the right when you enter. They still have gifts broken up in sections like gifts for "him", "her", "baby" and kids. The back wall had Christmas decor marked at 75% off and my visit was the last week of February. They had a religious section, figurines, Easter decor and gifts and home decor that was beach themed. The sales clerks were friendly and greeted me when I entered and another one greeted me as I walked around. The store is clean, organized and was pretty big inside. I didn't buy anything but it's nice to know that if I am having a hard time to buy a gift for someone, I can come here and find something for everyone.

On this trip, I found an incredible score of Aulani Nu energy drinks (Mimosa) for 99 cents a can. This is a GREAT DEAL! Go get you some! The fruit looked good and fresh, too. I understand the poor reviews. This place was a good stop when it opened but now: much narrower…read morerange of products, higher prices, many of them par to the pricy Von's. In fact, even before prices skyrocketed at all grocery stores, many of the offerings at GO were quite expensive, not "outlet" prices. I've learned that when something is really expensive, they don't show the price on the shelf. So I don't bother with those items. In addition to bare or sparse shelves, I have found expired products on shelves and in freezers. I can imagine the tariffs are playing a big part in this, but not all. I stop in about every 4-6 months now, to see if they remain downhill. If I do decide to buy a bag of nuts or seltzers, the line is often quite long, and they don't get an employee to the register until a sizeable line has formed. Same for opening a second register. The line has to get very long before they take that major step. GO has a high tolerance for customers waiting to give their money to GO. In that case, I leave my item behind and leave. The employees are nice, they don't appear to be responsible for the bad retailing at this GO.

Friday restock days have turned into a chaotic, high-anxiety ordeal. Groups of people arrive right at opening and practically tear the store apart, aggressive in their quest to find and stage items. In the process, they rip open boxes and scatter components across the bins. Crucial hardware, vital parts, and instruction manuals end up separated or lost completely. Because the store has a strict no-returns policy, buying anything here has become a gamble. You take a partially opened item home only to realize key pieces are missing, rendering it completely useless unless you happen to be extremely resourceful. What makes this environment so frustrating is the total hypocrisy and lack of training at the register. During a recent visit, I found an irrigation drip kit--a simple, cheap item that includes the machine, tubing, and connectors. Because of how the bins get torn through on restock days, the tubing and connectors had been separated from the main package. When I brought the pieces to the counter, the young cashier actually questioned me about why the package was open and why the parts were separated, acting as though I had done it myself--all while her own fingers were resting directly on the hole in the bag. In essence charging me for 2 items instead of one because it is a kit. It makes zero sense to interrogate an honest customer at the counter over a separated item when the store allows morning crowds to rip packages apart unchecked. Should a customer have been unethical and stuffed the loose parts into a bag to avoid being interrogated? Accusatory treatment toward paying customers who are just trying to navigate the mess left behind by others is unacceptable. While there are still a few employees there who are genuine, polite, and helpful, going to the front register now feels like walking into an interrogation. You come in to support a local business, but the lack of product knowledge, the condescending attitude, and the sheer nerve to ask for a tip at the register (on the machine), before payment, after making a customer feel judged is ruining their customer base is definitely not welcomed. It was fun shopping here at one point, but this was my last visit. I'd rather take my business back to online ordering where missing or damaged components are replaced without hassle or attitude.
