We looked over the entire store, clothing, toys, holiday, baby etc...we decided on a few necessary items we couldn't live without! Saige picked out a Robotic snake, some neon markers, a snorkle set for her upcoming beach trip and a squashmallow animal for a snuggly pal aka pillow for her trip. I drove in on Sunday, and wasn't sure anyone was home yet, so popped in here to kill some time. To say that this is an overwhelming experience for someone not familiar with Gabe's is an understatement. First stop, the West Virginia section of just everything West Virginia - shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve tee's blankets, stadium blankets, football WVU branded items - for men, women, children, baby, household and oh what prices. $3 to roughly $20 made for exceptional stocking stuffers for me. As a side note, I went back two more times in my 5 day stay in Parkersburg. You cannot take it all in, in one visit. I bought a pair of velvet Talbots red (perfect for Christmas!) slacks for $7, with the tag for $128 still attached. The downside of this is that I didn't realize until I got back to New Jersey that the security tag is STILL ON! (so still need to figure that one out). Got a J Crew blouse for $2, not a tshirt, a nice black blouse. What you need to keep in mind is that you will need to spend a good bit of time going through racks and racks of items with absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how they display them. Not by size, not by season, not by anything. But you will have fun.

They also offer a loyalty plan where as you spend money you can get your card initialed and once its full turn it in for a discount off the already low and amazing prices. There is a parking lot to the side that holds about 6-8 cars. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is very organized and there is even a bargain section, which is my personal favorite spot to shop. Check them out the next time your there. Credit/Debit cards are excepted but there is a small usage fee, so I recommend CASH !!!!! I hope you love this store as much as I do!!!!!

The store was clean and organized. Which isn't an easy task with all the people that just like to leave things in various places anymore. Our checkout clerk Lily was so pleasant, she just made our day. She wasn't just doing it for a tip either.
