    my favorite store in the mall! it's a very fun store, with nice workers! They has a ton of blind boxes.

We looked over the entire store, clothing, toys, holiday, baby etc...we decided on a few necessary items we couldn't live without! Saige picked out a Robotic snake, some neon markers, a snorkle set for her upcoming beach trip and a squashmallow animal for a snuggly pal aka pillow for her trip. I drove in on Sunday, and wasn't sure anyone was home yet, so popped in here to kill some time. To say that this is an overwhelming experience for someone not familiar with Gabe's is an understatement. First stop, the West Virginia section of just everything West Virginia - shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve tee's blankets, stadium blankets, football WVU branded items - for men, women, children, baby, household and oh what prices. $3 to roughly $20 made for exceptional stocking stuffers for me. As a side note, I went back two more times in my 5 day stay in Parkersburg. You cannot take it all in, in one visit. I bought a pair of velvet Talbots red (perfect for Christmas!) slacks for $7, with the tag for $128 still attached. The downside of this is that I didn't realize until I got back to New Jersey that the security tag is STILL ON! (so still need to figure that one out). Got a J Crew blouse for $2, not a tshirt, a nice black blouse. What you need to keep in mind is that you will need to spend a good bit of time going through racks and racks of items with absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how they display them. Not by size, not by season, not by anything. But you will have fun.

I purchased a sofa and loveseat from this store on 12/18/2020. They told me that, due to COVID-19, they are out of stock and told me that the love seat would be delivered on 01/27/2021. I actually got that on time. The sofa, however, they told me would be delivered on 02/23/2021. Mid-February, they called me and told me that they were pushing it out to 03/19/2021. I told them that I would not be available on that day because, ya know, people have to work for a living. The next day they have available is 03/24/2021. I said fine, what time? I get off work at 8am and want to make sure I'm home in time to get it. They said, "Well, that's 3 weeks away and we don't route trucks that far out. The warehouse will call you on that Monday and if you're not free at the time they give, you'll have to reschedule it." Seriously? You have already pushed this out a month past your original time frame and you're telling me that you can't give me a time frame for delivery? Now, if I don't stay home all day to make sure I'm here when you deliver it, I have to reschedule it for even further out? I paid $1,625.91 for this set. Now that they have my money, they don't want to deliver on the promises they made to get it to me in a timely fashion. This was a new setup for a new place and I have been without a living room suite for over two months now. The salesman was nice, the furniture quality is good, and the prices are okay. But, if you want your stuff in anywhere near a decent timeframe, I'd suggest that you shop somewhere else!

Now, they don't have the names of their workers on the receipt. But # 740848 that was working the front register at 1:05 on the 28th of August 2024. You have got to be the rudest cashier I have ever met. Short and snotty for no dang reason! I could say maybe you were just having an off day, but the last time I was in there, you were giving like a 90-year-old lady a hard time.     I have shopped this JoAnn Fabric Store located in Parkersburg, WV for many years and I've spent a…read moreconsiderable amount of money in this store over the years. That is, until Sunday, October 30, 2022. I stopped in this location to purchase some flannel fabric and lace that I needed to make a few ponchos and flannel scarves. I had checked pricing on my mobile app before making the trip to the store, however, when I arrived at the store, there were no signs posted reflecting the sale prices. After I made my selections, I took them to the cutting counter to cut and to inquire as to the current pricing. All of the fabric was coming up considerably higher than the prices I had found on their website. I knew they advertised they would price match any competitor so I asked if they would price match their own website. After the clerk checked with the manager, I was told it would not be a problem. After my fabric was cut, the manager came over to verify and/or enter the correct matched pricing on my order. She then informed me that she would not approve the price that was posted on their website because if I had purchased these items on JoAnn's website, I would have found the pricing was more if I had clicked on the item to purchase. I told the manager that I did not feel that was right, and, in fact, I think is a form of "bait and switch." She advised me three or four times within a 2-3 minute period that "if I didn't like it, that I could walk!" What kind of Manager, in front of one brand new employee and one relatively new employee, not to mention other customers, talks to a good customer with such disrespect? I have not been back in this store since this incident. I did receive a form letter from JoAnn Fabric (corporate) stating they would handle the situation. Upon receipt of this form letter, I again requested that a member of their management team call me. It's been more than 90 Days, still no phone call. I will no longer support this business.
