I'm a 2008 alumna of Miami of Ohio, and while I was an undergraduate I happily parted with some of…read morethe money I earned working on-campus on clothes from this boutique. I didn't buy new clothes that often, so when I did, it was a very special occasion. I have so many fond memories of the beautiful, unique items I bought here. I have a great memory for what I wore during special events in my life, and many of the items I bought here I associate with looking fancy on certain dates and for class presentations. Last year I returned to campus in the summer because Oxford was a stop on a week-long cycling and camping tour. This meant I brought very few cute clothes on my journey. As I wandered about uptown, I saw in the distance one of my favorite professors from undergrad getting Starbucks, which meant that she'd eventually be back in her office for me to stop by and say hi. But one can't catch up with important people looking like a scrub who's just cycled 50 miles! So quickly I dashed into Juniper, bought a fabulous summery casual dress and a striking hair tie, changed my outfit in the store, stashed my athletic shorts and tee into my purse, and headed over confidently to Hall Auditorium. Juniper did not fail me in having excellent options and reasonable prices even with the passing of the years! The selection of items for sale is so wide for such a modest store: tops, bottoms, dresses, swimsuits, fancy underwear, jewelry, and beauty products. The fitting rooms in the converted elevator shaft are a unique touch. And the location in uptown couldn't be better!

They're well-made and different enough to stand out from all the Gap/Old Navy, Express/Limited and Pacific Sunwear/Wet Seal clones. They have great end-of-season sales, too! The shop owner is friendly and helpful, but the college valley girls that work there are a little less than that. Oh, well.

Our Oxford Kroger is the best store in every way. Through all the challenging events since the…read morepandemic, this store has never let us down. Kroger saved many lives with their rapid response to Covid vaccination, while also keeping us fed! The pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are unsung heroes of our medical care. Christina has helped us understand our medication. She has always been remarkably kind and patient. Hannah has also been incredibly patient and caring, in suggesting options and making special orders. Thank-you HANNAH & CHRISTINA, and thanks to everyone at Kroger.

The woman in charge of the cheese counter is really knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions and pairings. The guys running stock out know their stuff, and can tell you exactly where whatever you need is. Sherry must live upstairs or something because she's manning the self-checkouts 24/7 and keeps everything moving smoothly. The store has decent variety for its size, and the prices are high, but they're high everywhere now, because you idiots vote for rich old men to run the country. The layout of the store is actually great. People complain about it and say "STORES TRY TO TRICK YOU INTO WALKING THROUGH ALL THE AISLES" but that's not really the case. The produce is right when you walk in, then stick to the outside of the store, and you've got your meats, cheeses, dairy, and you're good. People just complain because they moved things around recently and change is hard. Now the bad: Kroger makes it super clear that they do not give a damn about you. Often there are 0 checkout lanes open here. 0 lanes, so you have to check yourself out. Self-checkouts are for people who have just a few items and want the convenience of not waiting. They are NOT a replacement for real people when I have a cart with $200 worth of crap in it. "Thank you, valued customer" my ass. If I was a valued customer, the front-end manager wouldn't be leaning on the counter watching me check myself out. There are some management issues here in general, because every time I have to talk to management (w Prices are high everywhere, yes? But sales are cool, right? Wrong. Kroger Digital Coupons means you're walking through the store, see a 'deal', and then have to screw around on your phone for 2 minutes, working through their app's horrible interface, just to save a couple of bucks. It's not a convenience - it's a pain in the ass. And don't get me started on gas points. People have electric cars now. I do not care about gas points. Stop showing them to me, stop sending me marketing about them, deals about them, coupons for them - I do not care. You are wasting both our time.

I went in today to get medicine that I still haven't had for a week, and the lady says, "Well, your doctor doesn't work here," when I mentioned that I verified with my doctor that they approved and sent it over. Unprofessional, unnecessary, and unwelcoming.

The customer service is horrendous. I understand the volume at which they are helping customers, filling scripts, etc. but that is no excuse to treat your customers poorly - you can still be a nice human while you are stressed and busy. You can genuinely get kinder and quicker service at any college bar here on a bust Friday night. Every time I go in here I leave frustrated after waiting 45 minutes for my script that has been ready for over a day. This past time, they had it sitting in the counter right in front of me for 10-15 minutes before someone came and helped me. The main pharmacist was also very rude to the employees and during my long wait, I heard her yell at the employees. I also do not appreciate when the woman helping me was asking me about my personal prescriptions by shouting from way back in the aisles. I don't exactly want everyone in the whole store to know my personal business. They seriously need to figure it out here.

And... female college students working there, whom I'm fairly sure honed their customer service techniques from those chicks that Julia Roberts totally told off in "Pretty Woman." Honey, you can be cute AND sweet at the same time, I promise. All this adds up to Bluetique being more or less like Juniper down the street, except this place is devoid of warmth or charm. But you can add some trends to your closet without breaking the bank too much. So there's that.

All I had access to when I was an undergrad was Karisma ($200 jeans and North Face jackets) or Juniper (hippie chic -at the time). Prices all hover around $25-$45 which isn't too bad in my book! The clothes are cute and trendy, and you won't pay too much for the basics. I got a ridiculously cute and soft long sleeve tee that was long in the back to wear with leggings for $14.99! They also have a fab selection of accessories and jewelry- also not overpriced. Yes, the college girls working there aren't the friendliest, but they were friendly enough when I was there and let's be honest- you're in a college town, they're working for beer money, not because they love fashion and are dreaming of a life in retail. Excited to have a Bluetique closer to home!
